Hi... I don't see a healthcare forum here so I hope someone can help here. Anyone had a hemorrhoids operation or tie up? Any idea of the costs or if after operation any pain or complications?

depends where u do it and how long stay... i cant give u how much, as i have more scanning done before it.. yes.. after operation, no heavy food.. soft food like fish, porridge.. i lost 10kgs.. then need to drink stool softener for a period.. daily sit on salt water.. and not to be missed.. daflon.. im sure u know what is it..

Cost around 2k i think...can claim insurance if you have one but check with your provider first...

i have hemorrhoids but i dont feel any pain. consulted doctor a few times last time, doctor confirmed is hemorrhoids. took daflon each time i visited doctor, he advised to take more water, vege and fruits to soften the stool. Till now, the bleed no happen frequent as last time.

Operation can cost alot, if u go for tie up, it will be cheaper. If you do laser, it cost a lot. These operation covered under insurance. Maybe you can can check with your agent if you have one.

Like a women period. A week of blood loss a month. Just got a medical check. Blood very low at 7.2. A normal man should have 13. I'm out of range.

Extent of pain and discomfort? Have you consulted a specialist? Colonoscopy examination?

take it from me

1. laser is a waste unless you have very severe roids or your company is paying for it, if new to this ask the doc for the rubberband to tie it up method first
2. roids are actually caused by the built up of pressure in the blood vessels around your exhaust area to relief there are many ways you can try

1. sit on ice packs for a few times a day if the roids are really swollen
2. where possible never sit but lie down on your sides, else stand or walk for 70 to 80% of the time while you are awake and do not carry heavy objects
3. use the salt\sitz bath method as prescribed by a forumer above if you dont have ice packs
4. eat lots of fiber rich foods, drink a lot of water and avoid chili and spicy foods -> very important
5. before crapping apply aloe vera gel around and inside the exhaust area to lube it. also never force it out. it need to come out naturally. if there is nothing there is nothing DO NOT FORCE IT OUT.

How long already? If you still bleed without pain you should consider colonoscopy. Did your doctor suggest at any time?

so far bleed not so frequent now, as long as drink a lot water and take less spicy food and fried food. Doctor will suggest to tie it but wont guarantee future will not come b again if i still take spicy and fried food.

once you have roids you will always have it as the skin around the exhaust not so good already

only way is to reduce spicy foods, fried foods, drink lots of water and eat lots of fiber

I just make the skin tear deeper to pop it and let it bleed out

So got a tear at anus since didnt sew it up by doc

yea, hopefully wont become serious in future. but better tie, this is what doctor suggest. i scare pain later after operation

tie didnt work for me, dr did that when they are doing my colonscopy.. bro, go check d.. my blood level dropped to 5, boleh kantoi anytime.. and almost fainted.. went see dr, terus admit and put in few pints of blood.. he said im out of fuel.. bro, check ur heart beat also.. low blood, heart beat faster...

now u are 7, better go now.. frankly, i prefer operation than tie, the dr got tie for me, but its not working.. as the tie felt more discomfort.. its like a string ikat ur pile..

Goin to admit this Friday. Can cost up to 20k. Cos need to see any prob with intestine. Pump blood and either tie or staple dunno yet. Dang. Rm20k. T. T not sure ins can claim or not.
