I'm also using the XFX 8600GT XXX edition card. Already pre-OCed, so why bother overclocking again? Stock cooler runs fine, wonder what's the fuss about? I got it for RM495 without having to wait.

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Aug 7 2007, 10:59 PM) the beauty of pre-OCed cards is that they tend to OC higher than non-pre-OC card.... Yup, perhaps. You've got a point there mate.eg. pre-oc card max OC = 680/2000 non-preoc card max oc = 640/1800 or something like that....just an example...not exact figures... no idea why its like that though...mebbe pre-OCed cards tend to have higher voltages to core and mem from factory. just a wild guess... QUOTE(weikai_ng @ Aug 7 2007, 11:05 PM) I just contacted the XFX service&support, the technician says the temperature is too high and it could be i bit cooler. I think you may be getting wrongly-reported readings. My load temperatures have always been < 60C. No side case fans. |
