but i just wanna know what PSU are used by our forumer here as i believe 400w is just enough for it, so i wanna ask whether if i use PSU more than 500W it'll be an 'overkill'.. anyway thanks for the feedback..

there's never overkill in PSU... higher wattage on PSU doesnt mean u ll pay higher TNB bill. IMO, a PSU's reliability is more important than its rated wattage, some rated 600W PSU might have lower 12V currents, if u doubt other brands, get Silverstone ST50EF, its more than enough for OC'ed 8800GTS as long as u dont SLI

silverstone is well known for their stability on 12V, and they really can deliver the current as rated on separate 12V rails.

Well, seriously if the price is lower than the 8600GTS, i dont mind sacrificing the Zalman cooler instead...

Yea, its idling at roughly around 58c for me. Have yet to check the load temperature. Will do so during the weekend and will test it out on my new LCD..

Erm, have not really tested the game with FRAPS yet. Was rushing on my way back to hometown to get my LCD. Will be testing it again tomorrow with the LCD when i am back..

In term of what i have seen in the game, i tested the game for a few rounds, with no AA, Level 4 AA, and Level 8 AA. AA off, and Level 4 seems to be fine. Everything was smooth so my best guess is that its running above 30fps but slight laggish for Level 8 AA when i turn it on. Even during the early part of the game, you can feel the slight laggish (really slight ones) especially when you drag your mouse all over the screen. Game is still playable, graphic is nice but if you look closely, you can see the lag...

wow, are you sure? that's seems to be a good news to me, as when i oc my gc to 648/999, temp rises to 82C!!! but agak stable larr since i do 3dmark05 loop 10x, can kuar results some more.

648/999 i get 14.7k je marks ok 3dmark05.

but then i realised something lar, when you decrease the reso, you get higher marks. confirmed in 3dmark05, but not sure about other 3dmarks.

So does that mean that if we buy from bulk that gets the products from overseas, the warranty is lifetime?

yeah...i remember reading long ago in this forum.. some dude running his PCIe GC at 4x...so i wanna check...coz for some reason my 3D Mark 05 im only getting 8k.

not sure the reason. but i suspect the main reason is that my HDD is dying. but just wanna make sure its not the PCIe slot.

and there are 8x PCIe slots built into the mobos.

and speaking of 3dmark 05... i just re-downloaded it a few days ago....and for some reason i have to check my scores online. i cant check it WITHOUT submitting the ORB. how do i do it without having to check it online ah??

the previous 3dm05 i downloaded a year ago didnt have this..can check without going online.
