I dont really care about bundled stuff, I always in favor in cheaper brands like palit and galaxy laugh.gif

so far I used 1 palit and 2 galaxy, those two is comparable with other big brands actually, minus the fancy packaging

Add one more thing... the cooler. Since Sparkle offered something different with their Calibre series thumbup.gif

Though after reading the 3dguru's review... it is unlikely that I will take it anyway... "Global Warming Issue within the card"... laugh.gif

does the manufacturer matters when it comes to 8800 and other high end cards? I ve seen most of them using the same nvidia designed cooler, the difference is just sticker and logo, wonder whether they all using the same memory , PCB and capacitor?
*
actually i think ALL 8800 series are still on reference design...except that some like calibre and evga came out with a diff cooler...other than that..even the cooler is the same..heck...even the PCBs are the same green ones...

some may have factory OC and some dont...this is the only major difference i can see.

in the end it comes down to the bundle, warranty, OC (if got), and preference i guess.

too many things to consider bro.
What will be the purpose of the pc? general usage? gaming machine?
What's the max and min budget for your gpu?

Please do not think of getting the 8600gts. jus topup a little and you can get d 8800gts 320mb, which performs a lot better compared to 8600gts.
*
QUOTE(Phoenixwunin @ May 30 2007, 10:19 PM)
yeah... it's either 8600GT or straight away go to 8800GTS. The performance and money difference between 8800GTS and 8600GTS isn't worth it at all...
*
i'm using it for gaming.. max for now will be around RM800..
i guess i will save it up for 8800 later..

neway, thanks a lot guys! smile.gif

Not to be proud or something, google around for eVGA 880GTS 320MB Superclocked performance, and you will find it worth every penny. It can easily outperformed 640MB. I'd searched long enough that makes me getting the card. Not to say its one of the cheapest OC version 320MB around in the market.

You can't go wrong with EVGA 8800GTS OC version ... there's lots reviews of the card that gave positive results.

beside it's just about RM100 more than standard version which out perform 640MB version easily in 1280X1024 resolution....

id go with the Asus if i were u. like u said...grat bundle, great warranty....plus u can RMA it from a local distributor...

u wan cheap then theres of course the palit.

e-VGA's lifetime warranty is product life or owner's life like BFG's? either way, both brands wanna RMA have to send back to Ah-Me-Li-Ka.

myself...i just ordered the BFG 8800GTS 320mb OC2 from karom biggrin.gif

EDIT: wats in the e-VGA 8800 GTS Superclocked bundle anyway?? i cant seem to find any info on that in their website.
*
Well, I am looking deep into Asus as well just because it can be easily obtained here in Malaysia, great bundle package and 3 years warranty. Not to mention price is good and some site state its performance is good as well. Is it pre Oced?

QUOTE(Phoenixwunin @ May 30 2007, 09:50 PM)
hm.. just wondering... akachester... do you plan to get your gc from retailers or just from bulk sales here??
*
Well, that really depends on what deal i can get. If its a brand that can be easily obtainable locally, for sure i am going to get from retailers even though they are maybe RM50 more expensive than bulk. Just do not like the hassle of having to RMA something from overseas..

If its either eVGA, Calibre, XFX or other brand that i decided to get, then i have no choice but to look into bulk orders..Currently, i think i only have either ASUS or eVGA in mind. If i cant find both, i will straight go to Galaxy.

Well, thats why i am asking which one does provide a good bundle and warranty. Thats what really matters in the price for now as they are all only differs by RM100. I wanted to get something that have a great bundle and warranty but comes at a good price..

I have seen eVGA as well. Looks good in low resolution but i doubt it will beat the 640MB in 22" resolution. Anyway, price seems promising for a pre-Oced version..

There is 8500GT using DDR3. Only Galaxy renamed them to GE for the DDR3 version..Buy and test kaw kaw again..lol...
