Webster vs Auto-Eternal
Webster at Scourge: THD, Viper, Specter, Qop, Sandking Eternal: Doom-Bringer, Silencer, Warlock, Vs, Lina
This is the match that determines who will go into the final of the qualifier. Eternal traveled afar from KL and are already qualified , steam rolling lots of local teams on the way. Webster has always been one of the best in qualifying through the same stage last year but never got passed the group stages at the Finals.
The draft of Eternal really puzzles me. From the looks of it, Eternal will have to severely hammer their opponents early till mid game to stand a chance of getting this game wrapped up. Webster picked a more balanced lineup with Specter as its ultra late game hero in case the game degenerated into a farm fest which so often happened after the experience of MYM Pride 5.
Viper maybe a shitty hero according to Wranger but it sure still is a match for Silencer in a solo lane. With Eternal placing heavy reliance on Silencer dominating his lane and getting items quick, Viper really did a good job in slowing his farming at the crucial early stages of the game.
The game was pretty evenly matched towards mid game. Specter got her Radiance, Silencer and Doom are buffed also. Eternal somehow failed to get ahead in terms of kills. Their usual heavily warded map + ganking styles are dealt with by Webster's equally liking of warding and non adventurous playing styles.
The first real push happened at the 51st min. Eternal started the move with a nice swap by Vs but in the end got all of them killed. This sets the scene for the multiple failed pushes that directly led to their downfall. The 3rd push at the hour mark saw Lina blinked up to got killed by Roshan and Sceptre running the map length to kill Doom. One more their members said that 2 more mistakes and a loss is guaranteed. In fact, it will take more than one flawless move from Eternal and a major slip up from Webster for Eternal to make a come back.
Eternal finally broke the mid base tower at their 6th failed push and got all 5 of them killed in the process. The counter push by Webster which incidentally is their first large scale push definitely is unbelievable. They broke 3 base towers and 4 raxes in 1 single attempt. This move sealed the game and "GGs" are exchanged within mins.
MVP goes to [WeBs]MingDow who played a solid Specter and carried the game throughout. A quick radiance towards mid game by Specter definitely makes Webster a difficult nut to crack from then on.

Ks1 vs Mbjb
Ks1 at Sentinel: Shadow Fiend (SF), Silencer, Zeus, Lina, Sandking Mbjb: Venomancer, Viper, Qop, Warlock, Pugna
Drafts are both team are solid with Mbjb picking the potent duo of Qop and Warlock and Ks1 having the advantage of more disablers. Early game saw Ks1 took a beating. Mbjb raking up the kills with better coordination. Ks1's poor display saw their bottom rax got destroyed at the 53rd min and losing by 10 kills. Surprisingly , the Sf got to level 21 and have with him an Aegis , EoS , and Blink dagger.
4 more subsequent pushes to kill Ks1 off is met with fierce resistance. This resulting in Ks1 being able to farm with Sf getting his Radiance, Rapier after that. 25 mins after the hour mark, Sf sold the Radiance for a Butterfly. From then on, its Ks1's turn to push. 4 pushes by Ks1 also resulted in failures to break a single base tower. Sf in return lost all 3 aegis charges and is walking on borrowed time with his naked Rapier. The time is 45 mins after the hour.
An already exciting game gets even better when the aegis charges of both sides starts running out. Quite a number of heroes bought out and went straight into a battle they just died just seconds ago. Qop especially with its manta really played a massive game in getting Mbjb back on track despite Rapier being made by Sf. 55 mins after the hour, Mbjb broke Ks1's mid base tower after 5 mins of intense battle. 1:58, a push by Sf at mid came horribly wrong. Sf got himself trapped in the ramp after blinking out of trouble. He tried to tp away but got hexed by Warlock. Mbjb practically focused everything on him and got him killed. The dropped Rapier was then destroyed by Ks1 members immediately.
From then on, Ks got more and more aggressive on their pushes. A mistake by Mbjb lost them 3 raxes and their game went down from then. Lost count on how many times Sf bought back to keep the pressure on them until Mbjb finally got defeated in this long game.
MVP would go to Ks-Xiaogui for playing the carry Shadow Fiend that ultimately carried his team to victory. The Qop did some pretty fantastic moves notably with the manta style and few potentially game breaking moves throughout the game but met her match with a very determined Ks side who performed some equally stunning feats of defense to deny Mbjb numerous chances of turning the game around.
