You are correct in terms of total cost of ownership, there are, however, other side effects like having to visit petrol station more often, hard to predict if your petrol can cover x distance especially in highway (suddenly stuck in jam). I mean these are more like mental effect if you ask me. Usually only engineers or Technical oriented people will think like you. If not, you won’t be seeing people lining up to refill petrol even the price only goes up by ten cents.

I mean, Malaysian mindset tends to place fuel consumption in a rather high spot,if not you won’t be seeing more Alza than Exora in the road, despite the latter offer higher power, bigger space and drivability.
