we need to keep van ginkel and RLC.

dont be like last season keep on selling players and then we got bakayoko to replace matic. and turns out....

zouma is another one that we need to keep. dont loan him since david luiz is now consider a fringe player so zouma is our prime candidate to replace him.

3. If Morata scores like batsman in BvB, this is insane. He showed so much promise there and banging in goals at Dortmund.

Pep has been using 3 at the back long before he came to England.

It's not new to England either before Conte. Roberto Martinez was one of the first to popularize and successfully implemented it first at Wigan. Brendan Rodgers also used it for a period of time with Liverpool.

It just never got noticed in England before Conte because they didn't win the league with it. But just because they didn't win the league with it doesn't mean their implementation is inferior to that of Conte's when they have vastly inferior players. And in the same stroke, Jurgen Klopp is not the originator nor is he the innovator of Gegenpressing, the concept was introduced long ago and even in Germany there were proponents of it before Klopp. But Klopp using it to propel his underdog Dortmund to title wins obviously catches the media's attention and now the term Gegenpressing is often attributed to Klopp as if he is some genius who came up with it.

What I said, just because Roberto Martinez didn't win the title with it doesn't make his implementation inferior to that of Conte's, even if it's obviously Conte is a much better manager than he is. You can't expect Wigan to win the league no matter what formation they play.

Popularization is the keyword here, Conte won media admiration only because he managed to win the league with it, no one would've bat an eyelid if he didn't. Hypothetically speaking if Conte had used it to save West Brom from relegation for example like Martinez did with Wigan, it would still be an achievement because of how shit those teams are, but it wouldn't have caught as much media attention even if they were successful with it.

And there really aren't that many teams who are using it. In fact, I would say only Wenger's Arsenal were the only other PL team who were using it regularly as their main formation. Spurs uses it sparingly often rotating between 3 and 4 at the back.

Yo Mr Know-It-All, you contradict your comments; first you said Martinez popularize 343 then you said Conte did.

Make up your mind please. I thought you wanna be the best Mr. Know-It-All here in Football Lounge.
