Tbh, i'm still sceptical on Sarri. Yes he does play pleasing football, but he hasn't won any trophies yet. Let's see. My expectation is low this season. Btw my prediction this season is,

1) Pool
2) City
3) Utd
4) Chelsea
5) Spurs
6) Arsenal

Sarri and Emery's first season. Spurs haven't sign anyone yet.

Rileks guise, it's the preseason. Kante, Hazard, Courtois, Willian is not playing yet. I believe with Kante, Jorginho will play better. For now, i feel our midfield is weak. Our one touch passing and quick passing is not at Napoli's level yet.

Let's wait and see.

To be fair, a lot of our core players not back yet, Hazard, Kante, Courtois.

Let's see how it goes, a Pirlo type midfielder does not work well in Premier League imo.

Seriously thou, why are we becoming like Arsenal. lol. Sarriball here and there, attacking football here and there.

I miss Mou's first stint here. Effective football. And wins u trophies.

On the Courtois situation, since he has made his point clear, we should just sell him while we can get more $$ from Real.

From the list of Butland, Pickford. I think Butland more realistic to get, since Stoke has been relegated, and Butland has potential. Pickford I dont think Everton will sell for a cheap price. Butland on the other hand, an England International, I dont think he will wanna spend time in the Championship. And also Butland is proven in PL. Better bet than signing other league GK.

Worse case is Cech. Please dont sign him. With all due respect, I think he is way pass his prime.

Seems like Kepa and Kovacic is done deal. Which will allow Bakayoko to go on loan at AC Milan.

Hmm, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic as starting trio? Then Drinkwater, Fab, RLC/Barkley as subs. Baka needs to play week in week out abroad. Hopefully he'll improve in time.

Sceptical of the 80M Kepa. Yea I read that he is the next De Gea, but still, this will be his first season in PL. Coupled with a new strategy and a new manager. I'm keeping my expectation to a bare minimum for this season. Qualify for CL is good enough, plus a good run in FA cup.

With the new strategy and coach, I would have preferred a proven PL keeper, someone like Butland or Schmeichel, at least they are used to PL games. Kepa is like a double bet now.

Kovacic, hmm, this kid has talent, but the last good game that he have was in Inter right? Dont think he was given much chances at Real. Hopefully he'll do well for us.

Btw, Two of Zouma, Bakayoko, Batshuayi or Giroud need to leave for Chelsea to meet non-homegrown squad limits.

HG/club-trained (4): Aina, Christensen, Loftus-Cheek, Musonda

HG/FA-trained (6): Barkley, Cahill, Drinkwater, Fàbregas, Green, Moses

non-HomeGrown (19): Alonso, Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Bakayoko, Batshuayi, Caballero, David Luiz, Emerson, Giroud, Hazard, Jorginho, Kanté, Kovačić, Morata, Pedro, Rüdiger, Willian, Zappacosta, Zouma

And that 19 isn’t counting the likes of Piazon, Kalas, etc. On the plus side, Abraham, Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi are under-21 and thus are essentially free.

Or, if you’re a visual learner:

I would vote for Zouma and Bakayoko to go on loan.

5 minutes in already kissing Real's badge. Courtois better be prepared for hell during Madrid Derby.

Giru more like a B option in case Morata can't fit into Sarri's style. But it's a big gamble. Let's see how it goes.

Barkley was crucial in the build up. That back heel to Alonso. I'm pretty impressed by Barkley. Let's hope.he stays fit and fight for a starting spot over Kovacic.
