Tough win.... could've been 5-2 or 6-2 to arsenal. also could've been 4-2 to us.

jorginho while very good in distributing the ball, he provide no protection to our CBs.
kovacic is an entertaining player. looks to be in similar mold as barkley.

Arsenal could've gotten at least a couple of goals vs city when they intercepted ederson's awful distribution. But count on them to turn it up against us

Defense definitely needs work but I'd argue our midfielders were pretty awful as well. Shocking how everyone was just marking space inside our own box. Definitely need to sort that out.

kepa - could stop the 1st goal. see cech saves. all gooding.
azpi - made few good tackles
luiz - too slow
rudi - panic when we're bombarded with cutbacks
alonso - go swap with morata in future games
kante - def need to get his old position back, really miss him protecting the back four.
jorginho - cant defend shit. his passing is good tho
barkley - glimpses of good play. he'll improve again for sure
pedro - started strong, kinda faded away towards the end
willian, quick and energetic, but please dont make silly mistakes
morata - wow for the goal. then as usual...

btw, all of our subs were fantastic. kovacic control is sublime. hazard's dancing as usual. jirud managed to hold ball way better than morata

Too gung ho and complacent when arsenal broke with speed against us. Gotta intercept the cross or stay closer to the runners but we did neither.

Hazard just stamping his class on the game,it was such a joy to watch. Unbelievable just how his level of skill and dribbling is head and shoulders above everyone else. Kovacic had a good cameo,showed some good control and awareness.

I love kante to death but I'm afraid he might be the odd one out once sarri decides on a first eleven. If kovacic shows good defensive awareness and control,he can challenge kante for that third midfield spot. Exciting times!

Note: All that talk about sarri being 'stubborn' with his first team has been dispelled to a certain extent, especially after he took off willian and barkley yet managed to keep a stranglehold on the match. Can't wait for our next match now

We got problem with our back four. Two fullback very slow and kaw kaw exposed. Luiz and Rudiger pairing for me too risky. I would prefer to start Ampadu with no hesitation as CB. Alonso good in attacking but shocking when defending. Hopefully Sarri can sort it out ASAP. But again, 6 point from two games is a great start to new season.

Good game good win but not so good defending. Dunno bout u guys but i dont like the idea of putting kante more on attacking role. Jorginho just aweful at defending. We too expose at the back. We gonna get rape by spurs, mc and liv like this. I hope we change tactics when against them

Kovacic is like Barkley on steroids. And I notice he likes to dictate play in opposition half. play lots of 1-2 then do some nice runs with the ball.

Hopefully Sarri can turn him into our Hamsik.

Good game

He's neither here nor there at the moment for me. His strength has always been his tackling and interceptions,but when he's trying to get involved high up the pitch,he looks a bit out of place. He's in an unfamiliar role,but I guess we can't overlook that opening goal vs huddersfield and he did have a shot that looked bound for the bottom corner which mustafi blocked.

If he just reinstates his defensive side a little I think we'd fare much better against more attacking sides like arsenal. Can definitely see what sarri's trying to mould him into though. Perhaps needs more time,or we're just upset how it seems like arsenal's midfielders had acres of time and space to attack those cutbacks into the middle

Competition is always good though,so would be interesting to see if sarri decides he's still undroppable.

Felt the sub was a bit harsh,but when I'm trying to recall barkley's good work,a lot of it involves hassling and harrying whoever had the ball,but not enough attacking input. Kovacic is an absolute unit,I think he's built for the league and he had like 43/43 completed passes?perfect cameo from him and was really confusing when he wore 17 and started dribbling all over the place. It was like watching eden's long lost big boned brother. Practically the same hairstyle as well

Yup, time is important for us. Im ok with it and i hope the rest of the fan too. Hopefully the fan wont call for his head too soon. Anyway, i really hope hudson ooi will make his debut soon. Against small team will be the best for him to get some time on the field. Hoping any senior would understand and give him the opportunity to play. I talking to either pedro or willian .

Good first half game until that awful quick two goals conceded. Clearly, who the heck was supposed to take care of Arsenal wingers? All goals on target were from Arsenal wingers. If it's not for misfiring players from Arsenal, we could had lost the game. Peter Cech has saved Arsenal on numerous occasion.

On the other hand our team has improved "Sarriball" compared from the first game. Sarriball method needs a lot of stamina.
