Seriously thou, why are we becoming like Arsenal. lol. Sarriball here and there, attacking football here and there.

I miss Mou's first stint here. Effective football. And wins u trophies.
*
stadium incoming,
funds cut off from Roman and Board need to be self sustaining.
need raise more funds from fans, need play 'entertaining' football while trying to sell our best players for money.
Sarriball can play youth that we can use instead of buying and maybe sell in the future.
Sarri no bising bising or tantrum like Mou or Conte when no big signings to compete in UCL.

Kristof Terreur:
Eden Hazard is back in London and will return to training today.

No dream move for him. Chelsea are still reluctant to sell him (to Real Madrid) and have never ever been open for negotiations or talks. And time has ran out.

that's mean next season same case like Courtois will repeat again doh.gif

applause to our board

30 points of difference in #PremierLeague ranking between #ManCity and #Chelsea last season.
#Sarri asked till now these players:
1 #Higuain
2 #Alisson
3 #Rugani
4 #Caldara
5 #MilinkovicSavic
6 #Vecino
No one is a #CFC player.
Not easy to start with a trophy

We are playing against Lyon for the ICC tournament on early Wednesday morning at 3:00am (Malaysian time). Our last pre-season match.

How confident are you with our team this season?

apparently winning trophies alone using boring football is not enough, one has to play entertaining game + win trophies to stay for long @ CFC.

When u have rich owners willing to spend and wins everything there to be offer now previously. We will see the owner have either, more hunger but do things differently/nicer or sell it off

We should glad Roman stick around and try change the way to win it.

I don't mind if we can play like M.City/Barca or even Arsenal without winning trophies for a period of time now.

Is winning trophies really matters during changing style of play this season?
Pep didn't win it in first season too. Are we too pampered with winning trophies?

Thibaut Courtois tells Maurizio Sarri he wants to leave Chelsea during meeting at training ground

user posted image

Thibaut Courtois has told Maurizio Sarri that he wants to leave Chelsea during a meeting at the club’s training ground, according to reports. The Belgium international returned from his post-World Cup holiday on Monday to start training with his Chelsea teammates ahead of their first Premier League fixture against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Courtois is wanted by Real Madrid this summer and the 26-year-old is keen to return to the Spanish capital to be with his two children. After Chelsea’s defeat to Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday, Sarri insisted that he wanted to speak with Courtois before a decision was made over the goalkeeper’s future.

Courtois’ agent Christophe Henrotay had claimed last week that the Belgian had already communicated his desire to leave to Chelsea’s hierarchy. ‘I have no reaction on the agent. I’m not interested in the agent, I want to hear if Courtois tomorrow will say the same,’ said Sarri. ‘I have to speak with my club. I want only players with high level of motivation. I don’t have any answer to the agent.’

But according to ESPN, Courtois has now made his intentions clear to Sarri during talks at the club’s training ground in Cobham on Monday. Chelsea, however, are refusing to allow Courtois to join Real Madrid until they sign a replacement. But Chelsea also risk losing Courtois to Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer as the Belgian’s contract expires at the end of the season.

Hazard, Kante and Courtois were our key players. No denial in that but Chelsea really need to get the players that suits Sarri style of football. Majority of these players were too slow to follow Sarri's system and the most disappointed thing was the lacking of fighting/comeback spirit and leadership/motivator attitude. Most of these players were highly paid and we expect serious quality.

Hudson Odoi really understand the system but it would be pointless if only less than three players able to follow the system. Based on my observation yesterday, the players can't do a Sarriball when our opposition played a high and fast tempo game.

The only Chelsea's Sarriball I witnessed was the first half of our pre season friendly against Perth Glory.

Overall, we need a formidable defenders and goal scoring strikers. I m not worried about our midfielders too much because I believed they will come good in the future with Jorginho and Kante partnership.

I think the players are stuck in between 2 systems right now. Practically all of them have been trained to play an all out defense counter attacking style, cultivated by both jose and conte (mainly his second season). The transition will take time, and teething problems will definitely be a hallmark of our early season run-in. However,I firmly believe our players are more than capable to adapt to this system, especially technical ones like hazard, willian, cesc, etc. Whether the board actually gives him time to actualise their dream of attacking football remains to be seen, but his distinct lack of complaining about the transfer market means he'll always be their 'ideal' candidate.

We're not big spenders anymore and sooner or later I think we need to accept that. My biggest complaint about the game though was how we were messing up the basics. 5 yard passes were being misplaced by everyone from azpi to cesc and everyone wasn't playing aggressive enough in trying to win possession. At least moses and drinkwater came in with more fire in their tackles but alas the game was lost by then.

Tammy deserved that tap in though. Can't believe barkley managed to underhit that low cross so badly. Like I said before, messing up the basics.

The last time I checked, he said there were always talk about players that do not honor their contract and he intends to deny that but now look who's choking on his words!

No one is bigger than the club. Thanks Courtois for the memories but on the other hand f*ck off! mad.gif

[Matt Law] After not showing up at Wembley during the Community Shield, Courtois has not come to training today when Sarri hoped to talk to him about the situation, and he has not explained why.

Matt Law is very reliable for Chelsea, this is huge.

As we’ve covered here many times, when Brazilian footballers attend ESPN’s show Resenha, they don’t really act as if they were in a regular interview.

In a more relaxed chat, they tell funny stories, and don’t mind saying things they wouldn’t say when speaking to the European press.

An episode with Willian has been aired on Sunday, and was probably recorded much earlier, as the player has been in London and even played for Chelsea at the weekend.

One of the questions asked by presenter André Plihal was about Willian’s future at Chelsea, and the player has confirmed he’s going nowhere: “I’m very happy at Chelsea and I intend to stay at the club. I also like to live in London, incredible city, family is also adapted, so I intend to continue at Chelsea.”

Then Willian was asked about the chance to work under Maurizio Sarri, who’s the most attacking manager he’s seen at the club: “I hope he’s not the same as Conte (laughs). I’m joking, I think Conte was a manager, for me, particularly, very difficult to work with. His philosophy, his logistics, to manage there, is very complicated.”

“I’ve had some games that you don’t understand, you’re playing very well and are taken out, you don’t understand, twice I headed out of the game and went straight to the dressing room. So it was a bit difficult working with him. But in life we learn from that too.”

Then he also told some funny stories from José Mourinho’s time at the club.

“We were losing 2-0 and Azpilicueta… Azpilicueta is the player who wants to show that he is strong. Sometimes he takes a push, you have to fall, right? But he doesn’t, wants to show he’s strong, wants to stand.

“Inside the box, that ball that the defender arrives a bit delayed, he touches the ball, the defender touches him, if he falls, penalty.

“He did not fall and crossed wrong. Mourinho on the bench: “F*** off, man. This is a penalty, man. F***ing dumb Azpi.”

“And in that same game, Falcao came in. Falcao came in, I came in, Ramires came in. We ended up tying this game 2-2. And in a play in a counter-attack, Falcao kind of messed up, made a wrong move. I was not on the bench, but the people on the bench said he said ‘F***, the guy isn’t playing shit and still muddles it!”

Let Cortouis rot in the reserve. I dont mind he goes on free at the end of next season.

This ungrateful gk needs to be teach a lesson about honouring his contract with his club. Family or not you still have your job to do which is reporting for training when your holiday is over.

Last season we got this kind of issue with Costa, now Cortouis seems to follow the same script. Next season gonna be Hazard's turn? Fml.

we as fans can wait for the new entertaining chelsea (it will take time to get everything right), the overriding question need to be answered is, can the board wait? remember that CFC's management have the tenacity to fire managers like no other team in EPL

pep doesnt report to the same management that we have, maybe and just maybe MC management is willing to wait for pep to flourish

yeah but it do make sense for both keepers if courtois really want to do a Costa saga on us.
Heard last time he also do the same things forcing a move from Genk to Chelsea
please don't drag this saga too long, not good to buy replacement in such short time. Nobody gonna sell their no.1 keeper at last minute.

If base on history, we really suck on that but the last 2 managers(Mourinho and Conte), Chelsea have being slow to sack their managers even not performing and players discontent

Hopefully Chelsea board and Roman know now, he no longer calling the shot in players transfer market and need to be patience with results he want
