If you’re a high tech employee you’ll have to realise quickly that Australia isn’t a high tech nation with cutting edge IT or software development. For an anglophone country it’s well behind the curve and if you want any meaningful prospects, Sydney and maybe Melbourne are the only reasonable choices.

Also for the love of god and all that is holy, don’t choose Perth unless you have a job ready for you.
