Wondering has anyone received any promo codes since Uber/Grab merged?

Uber had local management. The fact that it accepted cash payment and offered Chinese speaking drivers in certain cities were two examples of local adaptation.

As for short trips, Quest helped to offset the loss to some extent. On the other hand, Grab drivers need to maintain certain percentage of Acceptance Rate so it's not that they can be very choosy.

The chief reason drivers prefer Grab was because of better incentives, and that's because of Softbank money. Uber did eventually get Softbank investment but it's too late...

actually, the uber system is a smart & fair app.  i notice quite obviously, app will not send u a high value trip the minute u go online.  u usually have to start with ikan bilis fares..a few trips and then uber will throw u a high value trip.  i think many ex-uber driver can confirm this.

which is why sometimes its a wonder why uber will send me 10km and 15 mins pick up trip in a hot-spot area...i can't be the nearest or the only driver around. 6/10 times, these far pickup rides are those high value ones.

and the cycle repeats throughout the day and week.

and uber compensate these far pick ups with its trip incentives.  there's also min fare on uber which is chicken shit RM3.  with good incentives, each trip is worth RM2-3 more..effectively, the fares are almost commission free.

damnn...i think i miss the uber app real bad....

i heard the same too.. i also heard that .. rite now mycar let you keep 100% with no cut when you drive for them.. until further notice...  not sure true or not

A Grab driver I met said My Car riders can made multiple order per app...is it true?
