Hi all,
I'm using my PINENG powerbank and Huawei P9 USB-C chargers. So far no issues, but I'm worries that this will damage my Switch.
Can anyone share if you had a problem and how did you get it fixed?

Thanks!

The problem is with the dock. I dont think normal chargers have issues. But PINeNg powerbank better not. Try to get a PD standard compliant powerbank....expensive though.

Seems like Nintendo is advising to use either their own charger or at least use the original USB C cable that comes with the Pro Controller only. Cables must be 56k Ohm compliant

56kOhm compliant cables are hard to find. I only know Anker. But this is only for USB A to C.

If it's USB-C to USB-C, there is no need for 56K ohm compliant. Basically, if chargin from USB C to C with a good branded charger, it's much safer and one less worry.

Exactly, where to find 56k Ohm cables? I practically never heard of it before reading this article.

Can buy online. I only trust Anker.

Can buy from unipro.my

You can also find them on Lazada and 11street as well.

Only buy Anker, even Aukey i am not pleased....got 1 Aukey charger....cable works fine with my Samsung S8+, but the USB C head wont fit the Switch! The other Anker cable fits perfectly on everything.

Btw, even Anker many cables. Make sure it states 56k ohm for USB A to C. Some of the models not mentioned.

maybe what Nintendo meant is for charging the dock needs 56k ohm. try it with rm10 usb type c cable from ustaz & it failed. tongue.gif
my phone charger is 5v/2a is a bit higher than when you direct charge the switch with charger. 5v/1.5a. deswai I thought can work  laugh.gif
does the dock somehow can ask charger to supercharge when its dock. coz there's 5v/1.5a & 15v/2.6a output hmm.gif

Please dont. For USB A to C, there is a risk of frying your equipment regardless if its a Switch or Samsung S9. This is a design problem between USB A and C standard. Hence the resistor is to safeguard this. If C to C, then maybe you can use cheap cables (but UsB C cables are never cheap, so far i have seen).

Pls dont risk your expensive hardware with cheap cables.

Later Ustaz cable send your Switch to Syurga......
