this is lens is very sharp..

80-200 what version? AF-S or push pull?

generally all photos look under expose...

u'd be surprised to if i say, all these images have already post-edited with +.50 EV, the original shots were even more under.
My bad to have set the EV under -1.00, my sense of well-exposure was seriously going way off back then.
Guess i seriously need to start using the review histogram..

The lense is of push-pull type.
Sharp to shoot at 80mm focal length, with minimum focus distance of 1 meter.
As the focal length increases, the minimal focus distance from the subject will also need to be increase, else the focus would lock but the end image would look blurring from the edge.
at 200mm, the minimum focus distance is >15ft!
done some research, seems this characteristics is happening across the varies versions/generations of Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 ..
