LOL.. looks like this thread had become a Kopitiam thread d. Actually no matter Man Utd come or not, the Asian Cup certainly wont be able to attract much crowds. After all, we all are used to the EPL high quality matches shown on the Astro. In the first page, i saw someone posted about his concern toward the final scoreline between Man Utd n Malaysia team. Well.. if Malaysia team ended up beaten 10-0 also won't provide much criticisms from us. Coz we are already immune to Malaysia "low" standard of football. This is my point of view as a neutral forumer. Even if Liv,Cheski or Ars coming to Malaysia for exhibition matches, i believe that EPL football fans wont miss out.

Actually the AFC matches are not as bad as most people think. I caught the game between Sydney and Shandong the other day and it was pretty entertaining. I also watch highlights of the games. Malaysian football may suck but the rest of Asia ain't that bad. Teams from China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and the Middle East play pretty good football. All Man Utd may want to boycott the AFC but believe me, it's pretty good if you give it a chance.

QUOTE(KimRoss @ May 12 2007, 01:28 PM) That sounded like my post =3 Of course I would but that's not my point. All I'm saying is that the standard of the Asian Champions League isn't as bad as some people are making it out to be. Some posters are talking about Malaysian football but the tournament involves teams from all over Asia, not just Malaysia. It's obvious how bad Malaysian football is with Pahang finishing bottom of their table, but the rest of Asia is pretty decent to watch. We're not talking bout Man Utd fans here, it's more like EPL as a whole. true it might be entertaining, but won't you wanna see you own idols in action =) |

I'd agree. But the whole point is that EPL fans would just prefer having their idols down =D.

Read it from today newspaper that the Man Utd tour will be going on as usual. So honestly i think this topic doesn't serve any purpose anymore. Time to stop the complaints and let's look ahead to the 27th July match. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I agree Asian Cup is actually pretty good. And I remember i always watch this AFC program on local TV channel (can't remember which) in the afternoon, and I thought that it's pretty entertaining. That was very long ago probably up to 10 years ago.

I don't think this issue will end just like that. AFC will have something to say.
