The time period the movie took place was a time when people could walk anywhere with a gun and not get questioned about it. Sorta explains why arthur could walk into a talk show with a gun unquestioned

The rich also frankly do not care and are pretty oblivious to what's happening outside, which is clearly illustrated in the opera hall scene, where the rich are happily watching charlie chaplin while there's a riot outside

In the same scene, Thomas Wayne clearly doesn't invest in security, peeing in the bathroom alone without security detail etc

So is he really an illegitimate child of Thomas Wayne and the adopted child is just a cover up story OR he is really an adopted child?
