The dependence on 4g is the main problem with this plan. Other than this, it's quite good actually.

It will depend on location as well. Not every places has band 38 or 40. Band 5 is more common, I think..

Was thinking of that as well..

Mine iis L19 and I am connected via band40. I was surprised too but, this is my second unifi sim, now. Fortunately, my office is Melaka has band 40. At home, I can't connect to LTE at all.. but it's ok as I have unifi.

VoLTE is only critical if you

1) Force LTE only mode ( to ensure the 4g data is available at all times even at weaker signal areas)
2) expect phone calls all the time. If you force LTE, and your phone don't support VoLTE... You have to switch back to 2g/3g.

That's why now the new phones have dual LTE SIM cards as well as VoLTE.

I think you are most probably correct. I got warn about 3 of my 5 numbers, which was inactive. I lost 2 of the sims which I gave to my sister who found it a hassle to use due to the poor 4g reception at her place. I am using 1 of the SIM which I activated just 1 week before the warning email came out.

The termination email hopefully just refer to that 2 SIM which was never active. As the other1 SIM I am using right now.
