and i would like to share about 1 modem that i bought yesterday. Huawei E5573cs609 LTE 4G MiFi Modem 150Mbps

that modem

it support LTE band 5, 40. you can find more cheap at shopee, around RM125. quite stable. with BEBAS plan i can get 10Mbps download and 10Mbps upload. plus, there is Hi apps from huawei to monitor the batery, usage, settings, sms and else.

if lock 4G only...then if the 4G signal not available...straight away the internet connection gone, is my understanding correct?

QUOTE(stephantsen @ Jun 26 2018, 06:26 PM)
does this model of mifi support to lock 4G only?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 26 2018, 08:52 PM)

Use 2 aim but very leceh imho... today I am using 2 aim combo... unifi mobile occasionally drops out of LTE coverage... then I need to go to my SIM card manager and switch my data to the other SIM... then I need to switch back when I need to use unifi mobile ...

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Jun 28 2018, 02:57 AM)
UniFi Mobile is not suitable for single SIM smartphone (I'm talking to you, Mr. Timmy...  where is MY iPhone Dual SIM variant...?)

If we were to use UniFi Mobile as primary number, ensure to have 2nd SIM as mobile data backup when not in UniFi FDD-LTE Band 5 or TDD-LTE Band 38 or TDD-LTE Band 40 coverage. The best 2nd SIM as mobile data backup is non-Celcom telco. If still wanna be in Celcom zones, there is TuneTalk, OneXoX, and other MVNOs to be as the 2nd SIM backup.

(UniFi Mobile) + (OneXoX Season Pass) combo could be the best option if don't wanna topup/reload for the next 24 months...

As for lowest monthly commitment plan, (UniFi Mobile) + (UMobile GX30 Prepaid) is an option too...

Other better combos are out there but just ensure don't sign up with 12-months or 24-months contract trap...

Hi... so it is recommended to use band 38 and band 40?
Quite noob when it comes to this band thing ... thank you...

QUOTE(aizamev @ Jun 28 2018, 09:26 AM)
enter gateway using web browser.
default ip add 192.168.1.1
default username n password admin/admin
go to settings, netword settings, and you will get to choose which band you would like to force.

[attachmentid=9883813]
it doesn’t showed lte band 5, but it still supported. i only used to forced to band 38 and 40. if the area have no signal (no band 38/40), i will pick all band. the modem will detect band 5 that time.

according to the T&C...you need to use the sim card at least once every 90 days...

if you haven't use the sim card from last time until now..high chance already over 90 days...but no harm plugging in the sim and try it out..who knows...still can use...then quickly send one sms from each sim card...then consider use already lo...

Very interested about the VPN thing... so you select the VPN app so it becomes unlimited or as long as you turn on VPN connection then it will be unlimited? Tq

QUOTE(asrin @ Sep 19 2018, 11:09 AM)
Ookyo is hybrid plan..the 4 unlimited is pay by credit card or online banking with gst..the unlimited call for RM8.00 use hotlink reload..total is RM38.00..

ookyo use VPN for unlimited apps..more apps use add on RM5-8.00 per apps..

And come with additional 5GB any use data..

What I understand is you need to keep your line active by using it at least once every 90 days... so even if you load a page and consume 10kb data at least once every 90 days... then ok ...

The CS told my friend reload once within 90 days upon sim card activation and it will last forever... so this part I think not accurate from what I understand above... but anyway ... doesn't matter.. sure got make 1 phone call at least every 90 days so sure last "forever" until need to reload call minutes... smile.gif

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 2 2018, 11:26 PM)
Hmm. So far it's still active for me, since January and no reload has been made. I'm still using the free 20GB data TM gave.
