Just got my sim yesterday at QCM. I asked one of the the staff there about minimum usage to keep my line active but she told me to top up before 90 days. So i asked her what about the official statement from TM that any outgoing usage will prolong validity. She told me they did get the information about it but still advice me to top up to avoid line getting terminated. Seems like even after the official statement was given out, their staff still not sure which one to follow. Kinda makes me worried.

QUOTE(stephantsen @ Apr 14 2018, 11:52 AM) dont worry dude, i collect the sim on the first day, i will prove it whether the sim will active with/without reload. Thanks man. will wait for the update. but still, TM should tell their staff to only give 1 definite answer to avoid confusion.QUOTE(fadzly @ Apr 14 2018, 03:10 PM) if u self collect, all the sim will auto activated the day u collected the sim but for those who opt for the delivery they will be given 30 days to activate. if not activated by then it will auto activated on the next day after the period.QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Apr 14 2018, 03:44 PM) I tried subscribe the bebas rm20 but it ddnt appear on the app data page? Those who lock their band to 4G Lte only, how's the performace? Any downside other than can't make call and receive sms? Any problem when using it?

QUOTE(shaun_kok @ Apr 15 2018, 06:46 PM) The signal will unlikely to drop if the signal in your area is not stable if locked to 4G only. You will not able to use anything however if a particular location have no Unifi 4G signal. QUOTE(stephantsen @ Apr 16 2018, 08:30 AM) QUOTE(luqman98x @ Apr 16 2018, 09:23 AM) The performance should be the same regardless it is 4G LTE only or not.... but it won't switch to 3G even the lte signal is very weak Thanks all. apparently i can't change to lte only. i don't know why. when i tried to change to lte from gsm it just wont change. maybe becuase i'm using it on sim 2 slot. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 17 2018, 08:20 AM) For your phone, you probably need to change first slot to 3G or GSM first then only can change slot 2 to LTE. Thanks. will try this later. Anyway the app is kind of buggy. Sometimes your info at your profile goes missing. And yesterday my 3G data freebies also missing from the dashboard lol.Anyway for those who want to check when was your last data usage, this is what I do. I just check at phone settings > data usage > unifi mobile. Quite a hassle but until they implement validity check on their app, this is what I can think of. |

Thinking of porting out to unifi mobile. Celcom really gives me headache with the 3rd party auto subscribe content. In kl I know unifi mobile coverage is quite ok but how about other place? Is it any good?

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 1 2018, 10:23 PM) Nope, it's not good, even some areas in Klang Valley are not good. Honestly speaking, I will not advise people to use UniFi Mobile as their main line. Well as long as the coverage has at least 3g for data and can call out then I'm happy already. I don't really need lte speed. What I really want is the validity. 1 of the reason I ported out from hotlink last time because of the 2 year validity offered by celcom. Now kinda regret already.I think you are better off with other big 4 telcos (except Celcom). U Mobile also has some issues by the way.. QUOTE(stevenlee @ May 1 2018, 10:33 PM) thanks. nice to know that. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 1 2018, 11:46 PM) Well, as far as I know 3G data these data hardly can move. Want long validity, can consider XOX. 28 months. At my place 3g data is quite decent. I don't know maybe because I only use it for whatsapp only lol. But occasionnally use it to browse internet, no problem at all loading any page. The XOX only for the first 28 months right? Then u don't have the option to buy/extend validity for another 28 months. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 2 2018, 11:03 AM) For UniFi Mobile, I guess to select P1 is fine. alrite thanks.Well, 28 months is so long... If you reload within 28 months, it further extends the validity. You can purchase RM 25 for 1 year later. Still far affordable. Anyway, OT.. Please proceed to this thread: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4018918 QUOTE(JLA @ May 2 2018, 11:31 AM) unifi bebas use separate quota bucket for 3G and 4G. The free 10GB must used within 4G coverage only. It not about a speed, it a mandatory for data. Call can use 2G 3G or 4G Ya I know it's separated. As I said I don't mind if I can't get 4g lte coverage at some places. As long as I can use basic data to whatsapp whether it's on 2G or 3G, then I'm ok already. I'm not the kind of using heavy data. I can always use my 4G quota in my house if I want to since the signal is very stable. |
