That's what they always say.

If you read back 2 days post a few people already complained and confirmed.

One guy didn't believe, so I asked him to buy unlimited and try. He did and the result was conclusive.

Test free data no cap. The moment he bought the unlimited , all tests around 10 Mbps.

Only the High Speed limited (expensive) add-on is not capped.

Don't mind the cap to 10Mbps.
Just hope TM management will do a better job of actually commmunicating the changes so that we can decide whether to continue subscribing

10 Mbps is still ok. But I am not even sure the 10 Mbps wil last long. Might drop to 5mbps in few mths time.

To me, 10mbps is quite good since there isn't much ISP with unlimited data + hotspot + portable with low price atm.
If unifi mobile offers unlimited data + unlimited speed, unifi fiber users would get annoyed.
If unifi mobile throttled to 5mbps, unifi mobile users may get annoyed. Luckily it's not under contract, we could stop using it anytime.

true, but atleast inform user properly lah, dont just say "no, we dont capped the speed" but user experience the opposite.
ini tak, suka hati je capped speed.

i think they currently experimenting with the speed vs user usage and will proceed on which config will make profit more for them

just my 2 cent hmm.gif hmm.gif

10mbps is just like you take Unifi Lite (Fiber Optic) speed one..
If you have more than 5 people use this line, then you will feel already...

I am positive you tested with your free sim data. Read my post again. Free data is uncapped.

Only when you buy the Bebas unlimited data it will be capped at 10mbps.

Indoor area have to make sure you have 3g data for extensive coverage coz most likely no 4g for indoors esp. shopping complex, tall buildings. For calls so far so good. TAC request also good.

Make sure your phone supports band 38 and 40 as well in case band 5 is not in the coverage.
*
Thank you for the info. My phone has band 5 / 38 / 40. Do surprise that 4G coverage not good, since it using 850MHz, might be TM setup very little tower to cover big area, so the indoor coverage is bad.

QUOTE(iskandarsuhaimi @ May 22 2018, 07:25 AM)
In Ipoh, 3G speed is erratic. Sometimes it is super slow, sometimes it is like a standard 3G (or H). But no problem with calls so far.

The problem with 3G is the data. It seems like the app just eat 3G data like a hungry Trex. You open whatsapp, send one message, and poof, 5-10 mb gone, just like that.
*
Using Maxis hotlink, facing the same issue with Maxis 3G, sometime it keep loading... loading... but nothing happen for 3G.

I will port to Unifi Mobile. smile.gif

Must be your area no coverage for band 38 or 40. Not all places available. Drive around and try to get connection, just to confirm it's not prob with your phone.

Which add-on did you buy? Could it be you purchased the unlimited addon for a diff sim than the one in your phone. Or are you still using the free data?

Just to recheck, I tested my speed just now a few times (free data, no add-on ) , was 40+ Mbps. I then bought the 24 hr unlimited addon (5/-) , and tested again . Now it's around 10mbps all the time.
