No one can answer that question, until you try out the signal in your area. Also if your phone supports the Unifi mobile frequencies.

Then he can only hope for the limited band 40. He is going to need some luck to get his new mifi to work in his area.
*
Coverage is ok. Just sometimes it frequently switching between 3G and 4G at certain areas where 4G coverage is low. When that haooens, I force it to 2G/3G network only to use my bandwidth quota.

If 3G/LTE quota and LTE only are available, the quote usage will be deducted from 3G/LTE or LTE only if network is on 4G?

But my 3G/LTE is deducted a lot while LTE is same without reduction.

I am sure I am always on 4G other than some places on 3G whereby I just on casual chats in WhatsApp

The problem is band 38 or 40 isn't supported everywhere. So, I don't't know how good is band 38 or 40.

Since their CS would say use devices that support BAND 5, I think unifi mobile band 5 shall be available everywhere.
BTW, band 5 alone is NOT BAD and could reach 20+mbps.

Yes, the speed increases more with band 38 and 40. The coverage for band 38 and 40 is quite limited but they are currently expanding it.

Definitely you're correct.
Unifi mobile CS and their website FAQs say ONLY use band 5 devices.
So, i think they might adding another "band 5 with 10mhz" as expansion.
Just like Celcom, Celcom has TWO band 3 in my home area, just different 15mhz and 20mhz.

Unifi mobile currently runs on band 5_5mhz.
I said "I THINK they MIGHT", that's just a guess.

Yea, i also heard that unifi expand its coverage with band 5 instead of band 38 and 40.
Meanwhile i cannot connect to internet if i entered band 38 (2600mhz) at sunway pyramid or other outdoor site. The data arrow only blinking for uplink n nothing for downlink

Band 5 no issue...
