I'm very new to this blogging. just want to ask which one is a better blog concept.

1) General - where anything goes. no specific niche / area of blogging. very much like mine
2) Specialized - for example blog dedicated to handphone/overclocking etc.

any opinion is appreciated. may change the concept later on

Self preference for this. Some people just focus on a topic for example computer tips and such and in the same time earn money through advertising. Some prefer to have their very own personal blog.

i agree. it's just that so many blog tips encourage new blogger to stick to one subject at the early stage (to ease the search engine bot maybe). i was wondering is it that important.

so many things interest me, i don't think it's a good idea to have multiple blogs.

Depends on your motive to blog. Those tips out there are for those who would like to focus their blog onto certain keywords so that they are more SE friendly.
If you just blog for passion and would like poeple to share what you are thinking or something personal, you blog everthing...

These are the beauty of blogging where you'll find almost anything...

Yes you can and you also can with all those advertising sites out there. I am so regretful after those stupid acts that I've done after getting a ban from Google.

Decent traffic?? What do you mean by that? How many pageviews per day? 50? laugh.gif
They use several different ways like the trend in clickings, your IP, ad keywords you are clicking, and the ratio of clicks/pageviews. Moreover, Blogger is under Google, if you logged in to Blogger and click, it will be a stupid mistake.

To create multiple blogs is 1 thing.

To maintain multiple blogs is another.

So maybe a strategy you could try is this. Create 2 blogs. The first which you'll update regularly always and the second you will update less regularly but will always meet the scheduled date of entries. Try juggling this for a period of 6 months to 1 year.

If you pull through this with the commitment and discipline required, add another blog and prioritize the importance of the updates. smile.gif

In a blog, your content is important and the frequency is what keeps your readers from rioting.

Hope that helps.

Cheers.

p/s: We're talking about blog updating and not even the need of social life yet - depending how active you are. LOL!
