Wah... finally, something so long overdue... You know the theoretical max speed?

EDIT: Where did they get the extra 10Mhz?Did they share it from someone?

Goodbye to artel? I dont know. The only info i get is 20mhz is enabled on 1 aug
Max speed shud be 150mbps (4g) and 260mbps(4g+)

Dont think so. That msg is just coverage expansion
While 20mhz is capacity expansion...
Very soon will be expand nationwide.

They really need that capacity boost.
On the other hand, Maxis is going all out with 1800MHz with 20 MHz bandwidth.
The 2G have been moved entirely to 900MHz.

Meaning to say Maxis have 1800Mhz 20 and 2600Mhz 20? Wow...

If they deployed 4t4r... Or so called advanced pro...
It will get 600mbps max speed compared to 300mbps.

Yep I can confirm that in my area.
They have fully gone 20 1800MHz and 20 2600 MHz.
Sadly still no 4X4 MIMO.
Maybe still testing.
But until now the speed is ranging around that 100 Mbps to 180 Mbps only.

Maxis.
This is the current band and bandwidth they are using for my area.
Full support for 4G LTE-A support at my area.
And sadly only Maxis is giving the LTE- A support here.

I tot celcom and maxis never using 1800MHz for 2G ? Years back some 2G phone can disable 900MHz. I try and celcom and maxis no service.

Yes i iknow 1800MHz came form emartel/tmtouch for celcom and adam/timecell for maxis.

So far so great.
But at night the instability sometimes occur suddenly.
Around 1 to 5 minutes like that.
Maybe still in upgrading and tuning process.

But now is different.
Since the reallocation of spectrum for 900 MHz and 1800 MHz, they have retuned the frequency.
User is increasing, thus more bandwidth is needed.
2G now I think people mostly use for calls and small data usage only. 4G is the future.
Previously they did allocate 1800 MHz with 5 MHz bandwidth for 2G and 15 MHz bandwidth for 4G and 3G in some places using the 900 MHz band.
Now it seems that all 2G on 900 MHz band, 3G on 2100 MHz band and 4G 2600 MHz and 1800 MHz band.

yup, maybe still in tuning progress

I thought of MNP to hotlink flex but if digi upgrading their service then maybe I wait abit longer

It seems Celcom also already migrated fully on 20 MHz bandwidth on both 2600 MHz and 1800 MHz band.
The 2G also migrated to 900 MHz band.
But LTE-A for Celcom is quite difficult to get.

I'm already requested to port out from maxis and join digi. Today, maxis call me and offer me RM10 rebates for 4 months but stick with current plan. And CS keep bragging about their high speed. Ask for more data, rejected and ask me to upgrade my plan. I'm told CS I'm stick with my decision to port out.
