Hi all, for the last 3 years ive been experiencng lower back pain on n off. Last month it worsen so i went to klinik kesihatan. Xray n can see the stone on my left kidney
So here i want to ask for opinions, what to do next, which hospital is best?
As i heard from my friend, if wait for gov hospital will take a long time for my turn

since you got the x-ray done at the kk, why ask your friend about hospital? just ask the doctor there...........

you can change your mind after they set the appointment date for you. and the appointment date depends on many things.........which we don't know yet based on your film alone.......like: kidney function, any evidence for hydronephrosis, urine test etc etc.........

Why cant i ask my friend about it? My next appointment will be in 3days to know the result of blood test

also depends on your budget.
If budget constraint then the best is Gov Hospital.
IF budget permitted, u can go any private Hospital as they r using ureteroscpy
example: Gleneagle hospital kl

you need further imaging such as CT Urography to see if there are any other stones in your urinary system, as only 60% types of stones can be seen under x ray, plus presence of hydronephrosis (kidney swollen with water due to obstruction by stone)
the KK doctor will most likely refer you to a Surgeon in a gov hosp.

Goverment hospital it's cheap

yesterday, kk doc gave me referal letter to hospital sungai buloh. I asked her can i go to the other gov hospital? She said no. Then i asked her again can i go to private hospital, somehow she get angry when she heard the private hospital. I dont know why..
I hv a medical card with a limit of 150k yearly should i proceed to private hospital?
My previous years of exp with gov hospital scared me..they usually didnt care about u enough wheater u r in pain or not

I live in bandar utama.. i need to know nearest best hospital around here. Reading -ve comments about tropicana med put me off

since you have medical card to cover, suggest you go to Private Hospital.

Your stone seem quite big from the xray, looks impossible to passing out itself, and may obstruct the ureter.

if in Government hospital, it will take sometime depend on the severity and if organ impairment, usually they will do some imaging, then proceed with procedure. May need to wait 1-2 month or more.

Since you have medical card, why not confirm with your agent if it's cover?
How much are you pay if u walk in to Urology clinic? - Is all the further imaging/clinic charge waivable?
or iF u walk in to the private hospital emergency unit with "pain", then it should be covered with medical card as long as u admitted

anyway, it wont be a big procedure, any urologist can do it easily.
