Hi guys - I have a desktop PC with Core i5 3.2Ghz, 8GB RAM, Windows 10 and my OS is installed on an Intel SSD. As a result of the SSD, my bootup used to be super fast, from pressing the power button to the Windows 10 login screen was under 8 seconds. Then I decided to upgrade from my mother-board's built-in graphics card to an NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 card and change from 1 monitor to a 3 monitor set up - 1 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort, and 1 DVI.
Once I did this, my bootup became quite slow - it's now about 15 - 20 seconds before I get my login screen to Windows 10 and every time I turn on the PC, I notice that the monitor connected using DVI would flicker a few times before the ASUS motherboard loading screen thing shows up.
Does anyone have any idea what's causing the added delay? Seeing that this started after I installed the graphics card, is there some setting I need to tweak in the BIOS etc to get this sorted?
Update [25 April 2018]:
Went into my Bios and made by PCIE graphics card (NVidia GeForce GTX 1050) as the primary card and problem seems to have been solved, boot up is back to the original speeds and no more flashing screen during initial bootup.
