been eyeing a sporty frame like Oakley chainlink or crosslink, but wondering, do I need to custom the lens?

Any shop can do for you bro. Its not space shuttle windscreen. Unless you want it to withstand 200kmh tennis ball to the eye.

Cause i want it to withstand a hard impact on d face coz ill be riding mtb with it...dont want glass shard in my eye later

they can recommend a lens based on ur usage.
there are also sports goggles that can accept prescription lenses...and which would be better since all around protection from debris etc.

How about just plain ol' daily contact lens? Just throw them out once you're done with them.
