I'm 25 and planning to buy a 2nd hand house. Target: Single-storey terraced house (freehold) Area: Ipoh Budget: +/- RM200K It is my 1st time to buy a property, can someone advise me on the legal procedures and costs associated with the procedures?? Highly appreciate!!

You might want to consider 1st time home owner program or rumah mampu milik. Once you buy a house, you may not be eligible to buy those house any more. Just my 2 cents

Highly appreciate!! ipoh? its better to rent to to buy.. rm250 per month x 12 = 3k per year 3k x 40 years = 100k. If loan = 180k + bank interest + MRTA = more than 350k.

I think cannot be that cheap lar, the rental in ipoh should ranged RM400-600/mth (depends to its proximity in convenience) some more have to factor in the inflation rate, sure the owner will increase rental accdly feeling more secured for having own property.

prepare 50k.. got balance 1.. if you can find a house that allowed to mark up then lagi good..
make sure the land title is not master..
make sure the land is transferable..
all outstanding bill owner need to clear.. lawyer need to check..
make sure dont use same lawyer with owner..
