huh.gif ROFL.. sorry no offense here.

Bootcamp is just like partition magic (if you familiar in windose side) but Bootcamp also contains some other stuff like the emulator BIOS part and winxp/vista drivers for your mac machines. As for Parallels, it a virtual pc. Parallels only runs on mac.. So how can you run parallels in other platforms(winxp, vista.. etc) once you using bootcamp to boot to winxp i assume. And why on earth you want run both at the same time? Just make me laugh.. sorry about that.. biggrin.gif Btw, mind tell me what's your purpose behind? hmm.gif

xp files used during parallel will be stored in mac osx hdd

bootcamp is installed in another partition on ur hard disk... which got no contact wif the mac part...

so... no... they wont get mix together...

Err... Parallels can use your bootcamp drive to boot that particular os. So if parallels corrupted that bootcamp partition, say goodbye to that partition brows.gif Anyway, best is install winxp/vista via parallels in its virtual hdd, but you need bigger hdd space

if in tat case, why someone would risk booting up xp via parallel from the bootcamp partition anyway?

it feels like doing something extra since parallel use a virtual hdd in osx...

Why? Because human are damn lazy... Save time and hdd space without installing winxp/vista again.

Let say you now install winxp via bootcamp, then you do not want to install winxp again via parallels. Why use Parallels? (i assume you ask that tongue.gif ) Because Human are damn lazy again. Lazy to shut down mac osx and boot to winxp, just to use some app like VB6. Get my point now? icon_idea.gif brows.gif

Well..
Wat can i say is quite hard to switch from windows to mac suddenly..
For some applications.. smile.gif

It is not to be said hard.. Just that, sometimes you don't have any choice. I take games for an example. How many games do port for mac? And how many games use opengl instead of directx? Now got so-called directx10.. rolleyes.gif brows.gif

For me, i would say every OS got its own purpose, whether is winxp, linux or mac os. Cheer thumbup.gif
