They are my personal opinions:

1- the display, despite it is an AMOLED, it is more like iPhone X oled, not a Samsung type where the colour is super vibrant and crisp. Yes, both are good, but my eyes are so used to Sammy's colour profile so at 1st glance, p20 pro looks a bit dull.

2- full hd+ display is still and can never be as sharp as 2k display. Bear in mind i compare these 2 phones side by side, so maybe that's why i noticed the difference.

3- the speaker is loud, but very empty or 'hollow', unlike s9+ excellent loudspeaker.

4- less features such as no microSD slot, no wireless charger.

5- kirin 970 is a bit outdated compare to exynos 9810 n Snapdragon 845. It is like you are buying flagship phone with last year's Snapdragon 835. Still fast, but better n newer one is around.

6- emui interface is very messy.

7- Huawei still use the combination of physical button and on screen button (if you don't use gesture mode) which is redundant and silly.

Personally, i think it is a great phone.. but my statement is, s9+ is a better  phone if you compare them both.

I guess just like many here, quite stuck between S9+ and P20 Pro, not looking in the price point. However, I am shifting from iOS. Wanted a phone with software that can last long without much lag and sluggishness.

I actually don't mind the slow update, because I don't update my phone often as long as it can last me with smooth experience down the 1-2 years of road. Yea quite sad Google Pixel is not here and new one will be coming on near last quarter of the year. Want a phone that can give me smooth user experience with mobile gaming, daily task even after 1.5 years maybe? lol
Hahaha, inner-self dilemma when I can obtain roughly the same price of Sammy 128gb with P20 pro.

S6 minimal lag la. Generally still smooth. 

not sure abt huawei but pretty show samsung can't do it.
1. Poor battery life. (three year with note 5, thanks to note 7), i change my batt twice and is dying now.
2. Why too many samsung eco app which kill the phone performance or crash with other APP.

that why i think of give p20pro a try, but they don't offer twilight yet...

Mine was iPhone 6 plus release 2014. Hahaha. Except battery issue, app crash, occasionally auto shut down and some lag. I use it for some gaming tho. Yea same, can't afford to change new phone every year, so looking for a phone that can last 2-3 years without big performance hiccup. And iPhone too expensive these days. 

I dont have Huawei P8, but i still have my old P8 Max on my desk. It is still smooth, running good and no problem at all.. mind you the software has not been updated for sometime already as this is the China local market version.. but its still going strong.

But i cant disagree about iphone.. my wife's old iphone 6 was never felt outdated when she was still using it..

So settle down for Huawei P20 Pro? Haha

Yes Samsung Infinity Display catch my eyeballs, however like you and I, we want sth that last perhaps 2 years and above without much hiccups in the performance.
Yea, so disappointed twilight is not here when all the preorder freebies flying around.

Does they provide the easy payment plan for this?

According to the website, I saw they offer couple of plans. One of it is first gold plus which is Rm98, the price kinda reasonable.

wouldn't it be better to purchase the RM 188 plan and have supplementary lines among your family members ? you'll have the device for free

This is also under easy phone plan, 2 years contract with cheaper hp. I got mine p9 with installment plan before, not sure this time still offer installment or not.

How much they charge for the supplementary line and how is the package?

P20 got stocks.

But if you want go P20, Maxis more worth with 188 package compared to Celcom.

Unlike you, I don't have a powerful PC at home to play PUBG.

So, I play PUBG on phone. What's wrong with that?

Udont need a powerful pc to play pubg. A decent one which probably costs the same as ur p20p will do.

Phones were never made to play heavy pc based games. Try playing fifa on ur phone. Totally not nice to play. For light phone based games like clash royale they are perfectly fine.

To complain about ur phone not being able to play heavy games perfectly is plain dumb.

There is nothing wrong playing pubg on ur phone, but it is not a dealbreaker in making a decision to buy a phone. I have tried pubg on my phone too but find it totally not nice to play at all.
