It has been exaggerated most of the time. I've been using a lot of Android phones in the past, notably Samsung; all of em were flagship devices and experience wise is actually identical plus minus few of the so-called 'Experience' features.

Best judgements in purchasing one is to experience it yourself later on at the shop. If you don't like the look of EMUI then well there plenty of other brands for you to choose from. That's the beauty of Android.
