Question from someone who has never used Huawei before:

My last two phones have been Samsungs, and I always use their built-in features to have a 2nd Whatsapp running, either via Secure Folder (S7) or Dual Messenger (S8), and am very happy with their implementation.

Whilst I know that Huawei has a similar functionality called App Twin, as just wondering if works as well as is Samsung counterpart. Have tried Googling but not much info available, so hoping some sifus here can advice.

Thanks in advance.

But Samsung doesn't offer snapdragon chips here right? My understanding is that all on Enyxos?

I may be an outlier, but I really like the stock screen protector that comes with the phone. Any idea where to purchase replacements of similar texture/quality?

With heavy usage, I tend to get about 7.0 to 7.5 hours of SOT (P20 Pro) with dual sim setup.

The reason I mention dual sim is because I noticed that having two sims did drain more battery compared to one sim on my previous Galaxy S8. I have not tested the same thing on my P20 Pro though.

Anyone rocking the P20 Pro caseless?

Unlike my previous Galaxy S8 (which felt more slippery than a bar of soap), this feels really nice to hold in hand.

Anyone with P20 notice that the top earpiece emits a faints sound together with the bottom speaker when playing song or video. Is it just me or what?

My issue is that I can barely hear the other side during calls!

Anything bad with the included stock screen protector?
*
I quite like the fit and finish of the stock SP.

However, after 1+ month of usage, it is now quite scratched up already.
Suspect it is because I tend to put my phone face down on surfaces.

Would be happy if I can find a SP that is similar to that of the stock one.

Hi all...need help..why my p20p when charging at 1st super charging then change to normal charging...anyone

If you're using genuine charger and cable, then can go and change the charger under warranty.
I bought a supercharger from a Huawei shop and faced this same issue (supercharge first then become normal charge), they changed for me FOC.

Sorry if this is a noob question, but how do we check if there are updates for native Huawei apps (e.g. email, calendar, dialer, etc)?

It is written as for Asia SIM card only in the box. Can we use other country SIM card apart from Asia when travelling? Anyone can confirm ?

I've used it with an Optus SIM card in Australia

Question to those using the App Twin function ... does it work with external launchers like Nova/Evie/Action?

Thanks in advance for your input.

And so ends my adventure with the P20 Pro after a month smile.gif

My overall take on the phone is that it's a solid effort by Huawei. Battery life is good and EMUI has improved by leaps and bounds since I last used a Huawei device as a primary phone (Mate 8) although as it is with most skins, it depends a lot on individual preference. What works for me may not work for you.

The showpiece of the phone, the camera, was a little bit of a hit and miss for me. While its low light shots are pretty much unrivaled, the over saturation of colors in some scenarios may not be to everyone's liking. I found the AI to be a little annoying - As an experiment, I tried taking photo of starfruits, and it kept switching from food to greenery and to flowers laugh.gif Selfies are pretty much unusable, but I don't take selfies much so that's fine.

Oh, and the novelty of owning the twilight color fades faster than I imagined, ha ha...

What phone next then? OnePlus 6?
