Did you turn on always display information?

Ok I have identify more accurately now.
The area of the phone that will be affected by the magnet is at the bottom most of the phone (back), not near the rear camera!

So why on earth I stated rear camera in previous post?
This is an accidental observation. If you review back my video, then you can see that under the magnetic holder, there is a chrome looking thing, that thing is actually a magnet too.

When I attempt to put the phone in the middle (the position where the magnetic holder near the rear camera), due to the height of the phone, its bottom part will get close to the chrome base magnet. So this triggered the abnormality.

I successfully replicate this problem at my car magnetic holder. I didn't see any touchscreen stop functioning when the magnetic holder is near the rear camera area, but as soon as I put the phone bottom most area directly on the magnetic holder, the same phenomenon occurs.

LOL it is not la it is just normal hardware stuff that you can buy from Ace Hardware. I happen to have a piece left unused and it is very flat surface so I let my magnetic holder suction cup sits on it, turning the magnetic holder into a desk phone holder.

But even if I use the normal magnetic holder touching the bottom most of the phone, this touchscreen stop functioning phenomenon still occurs one.

Try it, I believe you will see it too in your magnetic holder.

However in normal usage no people will put the magnetic holder at such bottom area so i believe not an issue.
Just an interesting discovery. I am now curious to try it on other brand phones too.

Tried before, issue remains. Tried with two different magnetic holders and a regular magnet. Issue remains, so pretty sure is not the chrome thing.
Do you have only one single magnetic holder?

Yep so I just use the notification pulldown > Screenshot. Gesture to take screenshot I think it's a hit and miss, even with my old S6 also sometimes will miss.

Well it feels kinda bulky on the sides. protected camera module and the screen when faced down. Doesnt kacau the x one screen protector too.
