You all gotta decide now what you want Malaysia to be.
An islamic state ruled by the likes of the hadi's stoned on backwards tradition and hypocritical escapism as pathway to a mythical afterlife or a pro-modern secular state rational in all ways of life deepened by a critical awareness of the challenges ahead that are already moulded by toxic legacies and shambolic politicking?
Elements of the pro-modern rational secular state have emerged in the peninsular post-GE14. What is needed is to build elements of the same in Sabah and Sarawak so that both peninsular and SS can create a pincer movement looking at GE15 and further which if developed soon can create a growing and more inspiring vision for the real Malaysia Baru, currently hampered by the persistence of pan-melayu-ism in the peninsular.
There are of course obstacles to be overcome in Sabah and Sarawak. They have small population of dedak-open locals running low-value industries worked by tribal foreigners who come across porous borders but somehow can get official papers. They are run by low-level short-term opportunists who want political independence but state protection.
Somewhere inside that morass is missing a long-view policy process that targets specific objectives to catalyze and strengthen the pro-modern rational secular state that both Sabah and Sarawak can help to entrench as the permanent solution for all the ails of Malaysia past and present.
Make it happen or Malaysia will remain toast.
Why Sabah Sarawak keep supporting BN?
