Should we pin these info as well?

Persona tire size is 185/55R15 6.5jj (premium is 7jj if i remember correctly)

And common issue: water sprinkler too low (ask sc to tune it)
I tried fixing the water sprinkler by myself previously but macam not much difference. Haha
*
http://www.tyresizecalculator.com/tyre-whe...size-calculator

stock rim is 15x 6J. here can estimate what tires will fit the stock rim.

you can DIY the washer yourself, poke a needle in and fidget it, it is very sensitive it takes a few tries to get it right

QUOTE(scarxxx @ Mar 26 2018, 04:35 PM)
6.5jj meh??? I thought only 6j..

Lol , erm seriously so terrible, ya initial I find it very stupid so low when it spray. So I asked sc to adjust it. Now seem ok.

6jj for old persona rim, but for those premium variant using iriz rim is 6.5jj.
*
wow they upgraded. if proton give iriz 6.5j rim at start i wont even consider buying new rim. i heard they got rid of silverstone tyres as well

Haha no prob if u happen to be at KV area. The upgrade for stage 1 i would say is quite a huge improvement over stock, cornering at high speed no stress at all, the car just move along with the steering movement dont have the rear end of car like got "drifting feeling" anymore.
Nope i didnt lowered my car, only change to 195 55 r15 tyres  blush.gif

Hi all persona-er

May I know how much Fuel consumption you all got? I am looking to buying a basic A/T spec.

And in terms of the car as a whole, good buy?

Any comments on the engine, body, and stuffs?
Hope all sifu can help

hi all, honestly, do you still feel Persona problematic to you?
*
I have a quite intensive review over this I will look it up for you later!
In short persona is more comfortable to drive long distance and for passenger. FC not the best but is good enough, especially for highway speed.
Bezza lesser pick up, more featured packed and better FC.
For myvi..... Honestly, if I'm a person who looks for money for value myvi is the best right now.
Edit : I can get 400 to 420km per tank. This is city driving, with mixture of highway and most township raod. Persona fuel tank is 40L

Myvi indeed value for money  if not because of the boot size, I might not even in this thread. Hehehe!
*
When I chose persona, I was comparing myvi and iriz. I wanted to buy another myvi the old 1,cuz iriz has cvt issue. Then comes persona, the price is similar to myvi 1.3 mid spec VS standard cvt, I don't need those featurea in myvi like fancier HU,kinda bored of myvi too, I used to drive myvi and the most I hate is those pesky 1.3cc engine , then I just go for persona for its safety and engine cc. Didn't know I bought something I enjoy driving so much.
As for now I think persona and iriz is not that appealing option, I feel the new myvi out class Proton cars many ways except handling which normal ppl don't care much. For me #noregret, cuz driving pleasure and comfort >anything

I bought the touch up paint for Fire Red.

Brand: AutoSpa
Product code: P62
Colour Code for this model: A0193/0180

Bought it from Giant. (Lazy to survey around  tongue.gif )

QUOTE(scarxxx @ Mar 30 2018, 09:56 AM)
Yeah.. AutoSpa also one of the brand that we can go to la.. the things is website not up to date hence I didnt put them in the list lo..

I left Cotton White and Sterling Silver code to complete the list.

Any other information is suitable to pin it at the first 2 posts? Suggestion is welcome.
*
I suggest don't use autospa, I had used it before it dosent match your paint, I'm sure my colour code is correct. Use ezy touch up, that colour is accurate

Recently I have been watching flex seal liquid commercial. I was thinking to coat this rubbery material to my wheel well plastic to reduce wheel noise. Any other alternative you guys ever use? I searched keyword like undercarriage spray, or rust undercoat

Ezy Touch Up more complete as it come in a set of primer, color, clear coat and rubbing compound.
*
Yea, ezy must buy a set. Which can be expensive. Autospa colour is just not matching although is cheaper even at fullset

Totally agree on the sound proofing part, try remove the door panel, the rear boot spare tyre, very thick soundproof material comes as standard already.  But one my frd complaint to me, persona sound proof is terrible. Well I think some of them dunno how to different CVT noise and external noise..
*
to be frank, persona comes with a lot sound proofing, all 4 doors are padded, even at A, B, C pillars. Hood and trunk is padded as well. However, i think your friend isnt wrong, persona is noisy when reving even at 3k range, compare to myvi or bezza, the CVT noise is very apparent whenever you try to overtake.
my car is around 1.3 years old, i think is not as quiet as when new, very likely due to that silverstone tyre wearing down.
QUOTE(tctham @ Mar 31 2018, 08:54 PM)
Yawo. I think engine sound fairly acceptable below 3k ar.. only above 3k it's more audible. (Then i start cranking my radio volume up. Hehe)

Hey guys, Im looking ways to reduce my body roll, also i dont want sacrifice comfort, my friend say either add anti roll bar or replace a stiffer absorber(not coil spring).
What are the thoughts from you guys?

Hey guys, i just went to speed mod, added stiff ring and also front top anti roll bar.
Stiff ring RM 270
Stiff ring installation 50
front bar 195
Driving on highway, i would say no difference. on cornering , it does feel less roll and sharper ONLY on slightly harder cornering. Another effect is that i feel the stock suspension are finally doing its job, it is better at absorbing uneven roads.

just changed my tyres from silverstone to cc6 195/55/r15. will review later!

Front bar doesn’t seems like reduce the body roll significantly lo. I found a deal in Lazada for both front and anti roll bar which cost 650.

Today I drove up to Genting Premium Outlet and handling not bad with car lowered and wider tayar. Car fully loaded with 5 adults and a baby.
*
i agree front bar lesser effect, still not bad, gonna add rear bar later. then should be complete

How come u use Mobil Semi Syn instead of Petronas Syn?

As for your question, I stick with 10K mileage according to the service booklet.
*
Follow whichever come early. Some foreman simply out that sticker 1. Meaning your next service should be 5 months later from your 1k service . And your third service is 11 months after your 1k service

so i just stick to booklet will do ..lol

OT = Engine Oil Treatment

EF = Dunno apa Engine Flush thing
1st time tak apa ..10k service need to "control" on all these addon stuff
*
last time they forfeited my 3rd free service, simply because i follow 6 months after 10k service, instead of 12 months after purchase. i was furious about it, but hey there are right, the paper say so. follow the booklet by whatever means.

Engine flush are done for cars that has very old with deposits from wearing engine parts, dont do it everytime. is no harm but unnecessary. not sure what engine oil treatment is. From what i see they are selling you an more expensive oil, the standard petronas SE is RM100. you should use 10W/30 not 10W40 which is a thicker oil, which may or may not affect FC.
"
Use the oil that is recommended by the manual. Just make sure it is a multi-grade oil which matches the service standard that is required. If you get your oil changed and end up putting a heavier oil in your vehicle one time, then it won’t become a huge issue. All it will do is lower your fuel mileage. However, the manufacturer could provide a recommendation to go with an oil that has a higher viscosity if the usage of the oil is more demanding.

"
sos: https://cartreatments.com/symptoms-of-wrong-engine-oil/

My brother service my car at 1k , they also persuaded him to use more expensive oil. Rule of thumb, ask the SC follow the service manual 100%, nothing more nothing less. proton SC likes to add this add that telling you is better, NO! say it! often times they do not benefit anything, for example my case, they recommended my brother long distance oil, no point, 5 months later gonna change anyway. my last service they even charge me 7 bucks for washer fluid. 1 thing i kinda dont like Proton dealer SC is that they tend to sell you more, before hand i already told them follow the service manual 100%, and they didnt change my intake air filter. no big deal but i did rather follow exactly, as some component really should be changed at those interval old or new car stated in the manual. Unless you feel is necessary, dont fork out extra, those are just value added service.

hi guys is me again back with some fuzzy questions. This time is about head unit. From a standard variant i plan to change it to another unit with reverse cam. specifically this model.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT1H2LZO3Yo

The colour code from the HU is easy to figure out
RED= ignition
Yellow=ACC
Black=ground
Gray/ Gray stripe(negative)= Front right
white/white stripe(negative)= Front left
pink= reverse light
standard variant only has 2 speaker so thats alll of my concern

on reverse camera installation

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhz4R_W2A_4

Note that the signal trigger is the power from the reverse light.
Camera power : from reverse light positive and negative
AV input : red wire near camera connect to positive reverse light
red wire at the other end connects reverse light, and AV goes to camera

those above wiring is from the HU unit, where should it connect into the car?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OThxY0oRjp0

From my car i see this

what wire is what? Does anyone has changed their HU and has wire diagram for it?

what is your usual tyre pressure?

i was told by SA to pump 35psi

i felt it's kind of bumpy...
*
driving single front 210kpa back 190 kpa

driving with passengers and load front and back 220kpa

keep the tyre pressure around there. over inflate reduce grip, makes the car bumpy and over time induces uneven tyre wear. SC recommend higher because people normally dont check pressure often.

I put front 220kpa back 200kpa on my lousy silverstone twice a month, if over the middle of the tyre wear faster, if under the side of the tyre wear faster. Normally front tyres wear faster, shifted side front and back once during 17,000km. My tyres still looks 'good' now 24,000km but will change all 4 when reaching 40,000km. Not sure can fit in 185 60 r15 CC6 or not, i prefer less bumpy drive as i do not drive aggressively.
*
I remember there is a online to to calculate what kind of tires different from stock. I link to you later. 195/55/r15 should be OK
