Proton car prices with zero rated GST, effective June 1st. Persona and Saga right now looks to be an excellent deal especially for Premium variants.

Agree with the comment above. It is just security tint.
I haven't got my car yet but i already allocate some fund to retint.

I'm not sure, will get it checked during my upcoming service. Since you mentioned it I did notice the a/c not as cold as usual at times, I assumed its due to the heat from outside.

My wife's brand new Persona had been OTR 1 months + and done 1st service, now ODO @ 1300+ KM, received on 14-July.

Just to share my experience of driving it as I tested this Persona out only in weekends and night time :

1. Overall driving experience : 1st time driving CVT and really need to adapt on the slow response as totally different from our AT vehicles. But it is OK once you had get used to it but occasionally a bit slow at traffic light or going uphill at slopes. Handling & cornering is very smooth and quite surprised on its performance.

2. Fuel consumption - average 7.6 L / 100 KM so far appeared on my ODO display. Can be improved as only city drive.

3. Modification & enhancement done so far - immediately changed the car stock tyre Silverstone to Hancook Ventus V2 Evo 2 195/55R15 as recommended by forumers -  Trade-in & paid RM430 with free balancing/alignment & s/steel tyre heads. Free door visors by the Sales Agent.  So far the driving with new tyres compared to stock can notice the difference in terms of handling and wet grip. But threadwear is only at 320 and might need to change earlier than I expected.

4. Issues & problems found :
    i. Dashboard rattling sound - It is become a common thing for all new Persona as I guess. It will rattle and vibrate whenever you drive on uneven surface or brake suddenly. Solution - Sent the car to SC to install IP Kit. Wait for them to call me maybe today or after Raya Haji to collect the car. 

  ii. Windscreen washer nozzle spray too low - Only can spray up to 1/3 of windscreen. Highlighted to SC and asked them to fix during these 2 days IP kit installation and hopefully can be resolved. I think they will only try it with needle as simple method. Will feedback the result later. 

  iii. Rear window demister - I suspect it is not working as during rainy days or early morning, when I pressed it, no obvious heat or demist function detect when you touch the rear window. Already highlighted to SC during 1st service but they informed working fine. Anyhow, I will test it myself later with multimeter to check if some wire lines are broken or not. 

  iv. Air cond cooling performance - When under hot sun especially at this time of hot weather nowadays, I do noticed that it takes some time to get cool. I need to switch to air cond knob to Level 3 or above with max cooling to have the instant cool effect. Even though come with stock tinted windows, just compared it with my other Kia MPV (with auto air cond sensor mode), the cooling effect is not immediate as I expected. Any of you have this experience ? I always get rear passengers feedback sicne no 2nd row air cond blower behind and furthermore the center air cond vents are too small. I might need to do a temperature test later since I have the multimeter equipped with thermo tester head device. 

5. Things to improve :
  i. Can Proton change the turn signal indicator handle to right hand side ? I know this is annoying for us as right hand side driving country, but maybe it just benefit the smoker as they can drive with one hand to do all while smoking... 

  ii. Disable the downhill gear ratio or high RPM change even though they claimed it is a safety feature. Is this a common feature among other car makers ? You need to press the accelerating  pedal to get back to normal drive or just need to brake. I wonder how it will perform when driving downhill Genting or Cameron later. 

6. Summary - This is a value for money car with all the features (if you opt for the premium version). However, long term performance and reliability plus good after sales service should be revealed in the future to prove if this is a good segment B car. As far as I can see, the SC customer service and sales agent service had improved over years. This is big contrast to my good old days of owning Proton Wira as my fisr car.

The aircond compressor for the new Persona is smaller than the ones for saga flx.

That is why the AC takes a longer time to get the cabin cooled.
