Normally rear bearing will kaput first, mine changed at 110k+ km. Now 140k+ km rear left start got sound again. Front still ok never change before. The bearing will kaput because fetching heavy loads with not enough tyre pressure.

Just to share something about the persona vvt headlight which happened to me recently. My right side bulb burned, then i went to tyre shop to change, not my lucky day the shop only got no brand h7 bulb. Changed both side for rm50. Nightmare begun when i test the lights when i parked my car upon reaching home. The headlights cannot off even engine off. Bring to proton checked the fusebox burned dy. End up rm500 to change the whole fusebox! So the moral of the story, DO NOT use no brand bulb as the persona/iriz headlamp relay was integrated in the fusebox pcb. Anything when wrong, pocket will burn a big hole.

Hi bro, mind to share do you solve the problem? My persona 2016 having same problem after changing front brake pad recently. It happens almost every morning, when i drove 500m out from my home. Funny after restart, it can drive like normal throughout the whole day. But next day it happens again. Visited sc they can't found any problem, just help to clear the error code for rm80. ...HELP

So maybe something to do with the bulb and wiring voltage thingy hah.., read fb got iriz happens becoz third brake light burns dy. I recently also changed behind reverse and brake bulb using china cheap led. Maybe not compatible gua. I will change back ori bulb and new brake switch too since it wasn't expensive. Then will try to reset the battery. For safety concerns, will change brake oil and check abs sensor too since the signal involve esc and brake. I just worry kena cvt gearbox problem needs few ribu to solve.
The car accompanying me for 6 years dy, im very down mood when this buddy got problem. Quite a sensitive car hah. Last year kena head light cannot off problem after changed headlight h7 using no brand bulb, solves by changed the whole fuse box for rm500+ . Moral of story must use ori osram bulb.

Wow what's your car current milleage?? Mine also 6th years still never change cooling coil yet. Used few types filter before, cheapest thin paper, blue color, now use carbon type. Last time car still new rajin got went sc service aircond before rm300+ flush and change compressor oil and refill gas. Now aircond still cold but min mode 2 drive alone min mode 3 if behind got passenger. Front under dashboard always got spilled water, complained to sc said cooling coil sumbat liao need rm1.5k leaves cars 2~3days to settle. I think outside about rm800 can settle, no time to go fix yet as aircond still cold can still use.

Mine doubled 163k km ++. Recently encounter a very serious problem, after drove like 1km from my house in the morning. The esc brake, cvt light will comes out and the car will slow down. After shift to P restarted the engine, the car can drive no problem throughout the whole day. But the next day happens again. It's quite scary fearing vehicles behind will bang my car. Send to SC x3 just cleared the error codes but doesn't solves the problem.

I did changed the front brake pad recently. Thought maybe the front pads stucked problem so spend cuti and few hundreds to service the brake fluids, brake pump, abs sensors but doesn't help.

Now temporary drives slow with esc off, may need to visit COSE shah alam for inspections. Few tyre shops claimed iriz/persona kena the same problem, need to change the cvt gearbox for rm4~5k. Haiz..if the bugging problem can't solve, the car bringing me headache and feel unsafe to drive. So no choice have to plan change the car.

Yes replaced but problem still persisted , the brake switch can be tested by seeing the brake lamp got light up or not when brake pedal being pressed. I replace because the old 1 plastic washer loosed dy causing it turned a bit when pressed and release.
The handbrake and esc signal will appears when brake and throttle pedal being pressed together according to the sc technician. Engine will be cut off for safety reason.
My case maybe brake stucked after being pressed. So i serviced the all 4 brakes changing rear brake pump, brake fluid hopefully solves the problem.
Sadly the fatal problem still occurs, the car very scary and unsafe to drive as will sudden stop in the middle of drive, high risks of being bang by vehicle behind So now no choice have to make appointment in another reputable proton sc for a throughout check. Maybe throttle pedal sensor or TCU or worst case sensors inside gearbox got problem but not known yet as sc appointment full until next week. Will update u guys once got results. Wish me goodluck.

There's a switch under the lever, not expensive but need to removes panel to fix. Go proton claim if under warranty.

Bro can u recalled your problem settled after changing brake switch or battery?

My situations, last week before proton appointment, i bought original brake switch and replaced. After replaced, the esc/handbrake doesn't came out anymore and engine not stall in middle drive. But engine light and CVT icon comes out.

So yesterday i went proton 4s for diagnosed as appointment, get P0571, P0504 error code which is the brake switch. So immediately change another brake switch and cleared the error code. Together i serviced throttle body, changed spark plug and do throttle adaptions. Everythings fine i went back.

Sadly this morning the old problem happens again. ESC/handbrake came out and engine stall twice on the way to work. Now need to send proton again to check wiring. Dun know where maybe got short circuit dy Hopefully can get the problem solved. Really haywire and headache kena this kind of problem.

Thanks for clarifying, maybe i should tell proton to test my alternator upon next checking. Because im using a 1 year + amaron HI LIFE, car starting no problem. As it only happens like every 24 hours after 1 km drive and when hit the brake pedal. I may suspect that battery voltage not properly charged causing not enough power when triggered brakes. Sometimes I can hear tikus sound when stop at the traffic, suspected steering rack but It should be the alternator pulley and belt sound.

Speed sensor i think mine still ok because if it's not, the speedometer wont' move. Thanks again for giving me idea.

New car also kena?? same fate with my 2016 persona, within 6 years like happened a few times for no reason, shifted to P restart the engine can drive like normal. It happens more rapid to my car after i changed the front brake pads few months ago. Scary experience as when happens the car will stop at middle of the drive. Been few times to different SC can't solves problem, said suspected gearbox got problem ask me to change recond gearbox for rm5k plus??? really helpless headache wasting time and money. Now changed brake switch V3 as temporary solutions, once happen the engine light on car won't stop but whole car no power in limp mode, few days later the engine light will gone but will light up again after a while. Fusebox, wiring, tcu, ecu, brakes, gearbox dun know the exact problem to repair, as my car no more warranty can't afford to try and error as those parts not cheap. No choice have to change car soon as feel the car unsafe to drive, really sakit hati my car interior and exterior still well kept. No more proton for me, disappointed with the incapable pointless proton sc.

Almost that price because after repair need to refill cvt fluid, change filter and cluth adaptations about rm600.

I sell to carsome tell them the problem. They will have the way to repair. My car actually no big issues but dun know the actual parts to replace, maybe throttle body, tcu, ecu, fusebox, throttle pedal i dun know. Those parts few hundreds each, im not afford to try and error.
Vios or city only no more choice else buy back another persona. Tested ativa but out of my preferences (control and interior material feels like big downgrade from persona). I rather buy myvi or yaris if dun care small boot space.

Better use ordinary h7 55w follow the manual. If the relay inside fusebox burned, the headlamp can't be off even engine off. the whole fusebox need to be replaced rm400~rm500.
