May I know how much Fuel consumption you all got? I am looking to buying a basic A/T spec.

And in terms of the car as a whole, good buy?

Any comments on the engine, body, and stuffs?

hi all, honestly, do you still feel Persona problematic to you?
*
I have a quite intensive review over this I will look it up for you later!
In short persona is more comfortable to drive long distance and for passenger. FC not the best but is good enough, especially for highway speed.
Bezza lesser pick up, more featured packed and better FC.
For myvi..... Honestly, if I'm a person who looks for money for value myvi is the best right now.
Edit : I can get 400 to 420km per tank. This is city driving, with mixture of highway and most township raod. Persona fuel tank is 40L

Myvi indeed value for money if not because of the boot size, I might not even in this thread. Hehehe!

When I chose persona, I was comparing myvi and iriz. I wanted to buy another myvi the old 1,cuz iriz has cvt issue. Then comes persona, the price is similar to myvi 1.3 mid spec VS standard cvt, I don't need those featurea in myvi like fancier HU,kinda bored of myvi too, I used to drive myvi and the most I hate is those pesky 1.3cc engine , then I just go for persona for its safety and engine cc. Didn't know I bought something I enjoy driving so much.
As for now I think persona and iriz is not that appealing option, I feel the new myvi out class Proton cars many ways except handling which normal ppl don't care much. For me #noregret, cuz driving pleasure and comfort >anything

Good points there. For me, safety is important since I just started to have a family. Even my Jazz has 6 airbags and ABS hence it has become part of my requirement.

Myvi indeed is a good car tbh but just lack of boot space la.

Ezi touchup easier to use, got brush attached with the bottle cap, just like a nail polisher.

U need to wash the area and remove the wax then apply the touchup by very thin layer, wait dry then apply thin layer again.

Its works well for small chips and scratches. If long and deep scratches better send to shop for simen and spray, or else even u finished the whole bottle u wont get a nice result.

I suggest don't use autospa, I had used it before it dosent match your paint, I'm sure my colour code is correct. Use ezy touch up, that colour is accurate

Recently I have been watching flex seal liquid commercial. I was thinking to coat this rubbery material to my wheel well plastic to reduce wheel noise. Any other alternative you guys ever use? I searched keyword like undercarriage spray, or rust undercoat

Yea, ezy must buy a set. Which can be expensive. Autospa colour is just not matching although is cheaper even at fullset

Modification Description: Installation of ZerOne Type S Sport Spring
Price: RM380.00
Shop: smmotorsport

About the spring:
- It is definitely stiffer compare with the stock spring.
- Does not sacrifice too much on comfort.
- Styling wise better looking as it does not look like a boat to me.
- Low but not too low as going up and down from car park basement without any trouble. Speed bump definitely not an issue.

Why did I buy a Persona?

I wanted a manual car (and I'm not rich)
That will remove stuff like civic type R.
Leaves us, vios, almera, perodua and proton persona / saga.
I was using a Saga BLM and therefore, I wanna upgrade to something better (size and feature). So that strikes out axia, bezza and saga. Leaving almera, vios, persona and myvi.

For manual standard variant, only persona offers good features and safety is not really a luxury package as the standard variant has most of the safety features as well. Meanwhile, other cars require me to purchase the top of the line to get esc or hill start assist and etc.

So it became no brainer for me on which car to choose. Even if I'm not looking for manual, the premium persona offers a lot of features for a lot lesser in price.

Rear seat comfort is one of the reason why I choose persona as well, as I tend to drive people around and I've sat in cars which offers very little thigh support. Those cars are really uncomfortable during long distance. Persona rear seats are slightly inclined too. Perfect for long journey.

Sound proofing? The stock persona has already been sound proofed. It sounded really deadened inside the car. Go to showroom and try driving it. Also open the front bonnet. See how much sound proofing material they placed around the engine compartment.

Proton reliability? Read around other car forums and you realized persona problems is around the same as other car makes, if not lesser. I used saga BLM and although I sent the car to workshop a lot of times. Most of it is around the area where I crashed (one of the reason why I insist on safety features). The parts that i did not crash, lasted me pretty long. So I don't feel proton is as problematic as public perceives it to be.

For future proton persona owner, one thing you need to take note is, parking sensor is really slow. Get the premium variant for the reverse cam if you really need parking assistance. For me, I resort to mark 1 eye ball. Lol
