what cap? you referring to the 60, 90, 120, 150GB. It was never enforced due to public backlash.

*

We can't choose unfortunately, and they will give you a basic router. It would be better if you get your own router.
*
I see... that's sad. If can get this new router from TM, then don't need to spend more

QUOTE(enduser @ Jul 12 2018, 07:41 PM)

actually u can choose which they give, usually from D-Link 842 to TP Link C1200. But these depends on the stock of the installer.
*
ahhh ok, then will have to try my luck, cannot get dlink 842 then have to buy a new router

I see, thank you.

QUOTE(xHj09 @ Jul 12 2018, 10:32 PM)

Almost identical to Asus RT-AC68U, but do you wonder why it is much cheaper than the Asus? It is because the firmware lags behind the Asus significantly, so don’t expect Asus like performance here, in terms of the firmware.
*
yea, the asus does have more features in it's firmware. so far I see people are quite happy with this and reviews are pretty good too, and just RM300 for a AC1900 router...

If you think you will be happy with it, then you can try it. It is a decent router for the price. Just letting you know that although it might be similar to the Asus router, it is actually not. So, don’t be disappointed if it doesn’t live up to your expectations.
*
yea not expecting to be as good as the asus or getting those extra features that the asus has.

For longer distance, like 20 meters or more, Cat 6 or Cat 7 is better?

From what I Google, cable length below 100m won't affect the performance. Is it true? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Currently using 50m cat5e cable and planning to get another cat6 50m.
*
I'm pulling 20 - 50M/one place more than 50m cables... should be ok for Cat 7 right? Checked Cat 6 and 7 not much difference in price? Which brand/cable are you planning to get?

Is Cat6a or Cat7 a big difference? If not, then just go straight up and no need to upgrade for at least 10 years  laugh.gif

cat6a and cat 7 about the same price, assuming they are the same quality
