Mostly ppls still paid Lite 10Mbps for RM149 and RM129, while those VIP5 still paid RM158?

Only some students paid RM99 for same plan...

That’s very good enough. Rm129 for 100Mbps or even RM99 for 100Mbps is a steal.
To most people, 100Mbps vs 300Mbps vs 500Mbps vs 800Mbps does not make a big difference in user experience. Even streaming with 100Mbps is more than sufficient. 4K streaming alone only needs 15Mbps or 25Mbps. For 100Mbps it is more than sufficient even there are other devices occupying the bandwidth.

Previously 10Mbps vs 30Mbps vs 50Mbps vs 100Mbps made more difference.

Im currently on 50mbs, no std free calls, ruby at 189.
Wrote to tm today  to see if they can adjust price.
If not I’m gonna apply new account, rm139, 30mbs, Ruby, free calls, 2yr contract. At least I save 1.2k over 2 years

The luckiest subscribers are the one live in TIME areas, Unifi charge them RM149 for 100Mbps, later they'll get 800Mbps for RM149 

Thanks for the tips guys. I walked into a TMPoint today and got the price adjustment without any fuss. All I had to mention was I wanted to take on the Raya offer on the same package but with the reduced price.

The CS agent proceeded right away to fill up a Unifi Customer Retention Form (no questions asked), and after 10-15 mins, the process was done.

My T&C was:
- contract reset to 24 months
- HyppTV remains the same
- No free calls (I was on RM179, which didn't have free calls) - not too hung up on the free calls
- Importantly, the penalty for termination under this promo is to pay up the balance, and not RM500, as mylinear mentioned previously

For those on legacy Unifi packages who tried and failed in the past; or have yet to request for a price reduction, you may want to give it a shot to enjoy a reduction in your monthly Unifi bill (we have quite a few precedents now and they seem to be more willing in my case compared to others previously).

Unfortunately you will need to visit a TMPoint during a weekday because they need your thumbprint to process the change. However, for a RM40 / mth reduction (in my case), I'd say it was worth it!

EDIT: not all TMPoints are equal - some are actually TADs (authorized dealers) despite their signboard saying "TMPoint", especially those in shopping malls and are only able to process registrations and bill payments.

Sorry to hear about that  . Did they give you any reason? I suspect it's because the Raya promo already ended.

For me it was a no questions asked affair.
