Any ideas how to solve TP-Link's C1200 v1.0 high CPU usage issue? Currently on 1.0.0 Build 20161115 rel. 42795 (EU) firmware. Which firmware is best for reducing the CPU usage since my network will slow down over time and goes to 0B/s whenever the CPU usage gets too high

QUOTE(christina1 @ Jun 4 2018, 09:17 PM) Interesting 802.11ax - there's pretty much no consumer device that supports this right now ASUS ROG Rapture Diperkenalkan – Penghala WiFi Pertama Dengan Sambungan 10Gbps https://amanz.my/2018169714/ For me, gaming routers are overpriced and gimmicky - for the same price I'd rather build a Mikrotik/enterprise network setup and it will eat that ASUS for breakfast in terms of performance, reliability and security Of course, a traditional Ethernet connection will be much more reliable, provided that the router itself is not of rubbish grade This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Jun 6 2018, 08:07 PM |

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Jun 6 2018, 10:23 PM) K lah, now go check if your microtik devices are in the new list. At the very least the firmware updates are quick enough - well with consumer routers it will take much longer to get patched or worst still gets abandoned for good in a short while https://arstechnica.com/information-technol...han-we-thought/ CCR1009 (new) CCR1016 CCR1036 CCR1072 CRS109 (new) CRS112 (new) CRS125 (new) RB411 (new) RB450 (new) RB750 (new) RB911 (new) RB921 (new) RB941 (new) RB951 (new) RB952 (new) RB960 (new) RB962 (new) RB1100 (new) RB1200 (new) RB2011 (new) RB3011 (new) RB Groove (new) RB Omnitik (new) STX5 (new) In fact the vulnerability is already patched back in 2017: https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=134776 This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Jun 6 2018, 10:34 PM |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jun 6 2018, 08:18 PM) Unfortunately, majority of people will prefer buying bling and "ease of usage" than actual quality these days. Just like how people prefer to pay exorbitant amount of money for a silly soundbar instead of a good ol' pair of bookshelfs. Well I do somewhat agree with you - the problem is that not all people are savvy enough to tinker with stuff like that. Not everyone has the skills to manually set up an enterprise grade system Those people who tinker with such stuff will likely to represent a very small proportion of the total user base, and of course most people wanted ease of use in their products - and that's why Apple products are incredibly popular as Apple knows that ease of use is very important for the majority of consumers. Of course, not all consumer routers are rubbish, and most routers from reputable brands are quite good (except those gimmicky ones like 'gaming' grade routers) |

Any idea why IPv6 suddenly isn't working on my C1200? Currently on UniFi 100Mbps BTW
It used to be working a few days ago Now it's working again This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Jun 17 2018, 08:19 PM |

QUOTE(theresa000 @ Jul 3 2018, 08:25 PM) Not a bad thing TBH - I like it when people here will complain for almost everything Faster speed = people complain Lower price = people also complain As long as people gets faster speeds, I don't really mind as long as they didn't try to do price hikes |

BTW for those who wanted an internet only plan - SoyaCincau reports that the RM99 UniFi 30 plan will be Internet-only, but you may need to purchase your own router for that

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Jul 3 2018, 11:07 PM) My thoughts exactly I wonder whether my 100Mbps connection is going to be upgraded to the new UniFi Turbo plan for no cost I know that 100Mbps is already overkill but hey any speed improvements are welcomed Still need to find a decent router for that |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 4 2018, 12:05 AM) For that RM99, I think have to apply online starting 15/7. Maybe submit documents and what not. Something like when apply for buku pinjaman in SK. I'm sure a lot ppl will bluff one. ...and surprisingly they'll just approve almost everyone out there - I know things like this are usually not enforced here despite it's written there This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Jul 4 2018, 12:24 AM |

Is the whole UniFi website down? It appears that the servers have overloaded for some reason

QUOTE(saf @ Jul 14 2018, 09:58 AM) Upload speed should be half of the speed hope UNIFI will reconsider it plus UNIFI 30Mbps RM 79 UNIFI should removed the download quota cap 60GB so everyone can enjoy it. ...or it could be unlimited 'until further notice' with a 'cap' - remember the VIP days? QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 14 2018, 07:07 PM) Once you go over 1Gbps, it's a big headache. Well let's just hope that the speed race means cheaper routers and everything How to tell customers that you need some really canggih $$$ equipment to get that speed? Maybe TIME will do a single plan RM149 for 1Gbps. Yay! Also I'm pretty sure people will just complain to TM about their new UniFi turbo plan cannot give them the advertised speed, notwithstanding the fact that they are using some old-ish equipment |
