Its 1 wall and 1 floor up. My 2.4Ghz has significantly better & stable speed compared to 5Ghz, which fluctuates between 6-40Mbps.

Yikes... Despite having full bar connection? What is the typical range of a 5ghz band if that's the case?

Remember it's a 2-way street. You hear the router but the router may not hear you since you're a phone with teeny weeny antennas and low transmission power.

Oh dear... I would have to place an AP right in front of my computer then...

Also one dumb af question.
Let's say I'm on the 100mbps package, but my 2.4ghz band is around 40-50mbps.

If I have 4 active devices will the bandwidth be divided based on 100/4 or 50/4?

ARGH it has come up again I just can't understand it, could it be my router? My internet keeps going down until I restart my router when I download stuff. It doesn't happen with torrents though. Only when im dling patches from different games or Steam. I can't seem to pinpoint the issue, the router still shows Green and "Online" but everyone can't access the internet once it happens.

Somehow this is true, so you will need fix it yourself and hopefully it's just device limitation.

Unstable routers usually caused by,
1. Overheating. Stacking router onto the modem etc. The reboot is a tell.
2. Early signs that the wifi chip is failing. SSID is seen but cannot connect.

The other point, as you would protect the home theatre gear, is invest in a good power strip with surge protector. Unstable power is bad for electronics.

Didn't stack it before, which is more probable? My router or UniFi being the issue?

If its Unifi, the led lights will flash usually. Reboot clears the issue pointing to probably the router.

That is around the price people in most countries pay for the AC86U (after bundle discount)

@ASUSmy
Confirms the inflated price (also known as Malaysia ASUS tax) buying a local set at MSRP

My Aneka Pack has been removed.

I presume, instead of RM90 (RM60 Jumbo + RM30 Aneka) per month for UniFiTV I will be paying only RM60 per month for UniFiTV going forward.

Unfortunately, the UniFi Special Discount has also been reduced from RM50 to RM20 simultaneously which means I'd still be paying RM189 in total per month.

RM299 - RM170 (RM150 Promo Disct. + RM20 Special Disct.) = RM129

+ RM60 Jumbo Pack

= RM189
