It become harder to persuade the customer to upgrade to 800Mbps since 500Mbps is more than enough for most people. So they are trying to trick some customers (who don't know about the BIP) to fork out some money to upgrade their current line to 100Mbps first before 18 July or 15 Aug. Talking about milking the money as hard as it can. It's typical TM.

Confirmed support. I am also using this Onu. I changed the cable to cat6, and voila. The Lan icon in my computer is showing 1.0Gbps now (it used to be 100Mbps due to the old cat5 cable).

Indeed. Since I need to change, might as well just change to cat 6. It's not expensive anyway. Unless we are talking about long distance.

I don't think we will ever need cat 7 within next 10 years. Heck, we may need to wait for more than 20 years before we really need it. Lol.

IINM, last time Thank you surprise campaign was running smooth what? So I don't think this time will crash. Instead, people should worry about what will happen if they find out they are not eligible for the upgrade tomorrow. Probably will flip the table and throw their PC out of window...

Terminate it. Register to Unifi Lite RM129. Next year free upgrade to 100Mbps. Profit.

The only con is you need to bear with the 10Mbps speed for half a year.

Probably the free upgrade phases will follow the way of how the last Thank you surprise campaign worked. How long you have been waited for in last campaign, this time you will also wait for the same amount of time. Everything been scheduled since the beginning in their system. Your consent is the only thing they needed before it proceeds.

Not for my case. I rejected their offer to pay extra upgrade for couple times. And I still can get free upgrade in this year.

I have no idea how they select which one earlier which one later. And we probably will never know.

I guess you are new in this thread? Xefron is genuine TM insider and his info is proven to be 100% reliable. Many people in this thread can vouch for that. Of course, you can say it could be fake since no proof of that. But we choose to believe based on his track record, which is always 100% corrrect since day 1.

It's not that I don't believe him. But based on our previous experience, we knew that it's nearly impossible to remove hypp TV package even if your contact is ended. We need a soft/hard copy of Bill statement to ensure that this is truly doable.

You are not alone. Anyway, no need to be panic. TM is unpredictable. No email doesn't mean that you are not eligible. At the same time, got email doesn't necessarily mean that you will get the upgrade within the promised dates.
