Hi nikki_5543, for high rise building, there are 2 side of infra involve.
1. Service provider will provide infra up until Comm Room (ground floor)
2. Developer/Building Mgt are responsible for infra from Comm Room to each property unit.

Most of building pre 2014 (just a guess) are equip with VDSL. I believe your building were built with VDSL and TM (at that time support VDSL) provision broadband service to your building.

Then, 2016-2017, TIME together with Building Management, lay full fiber solution (probably with massive discount) and provision their broadband service.

So, what you can do? There is 2 solutions,
1. Terminate Unifi and subscribe to TIME.
2. Get most of the tenant to demand a fiber infra replacing VDSL from the Building Management. Then only then, can TM provide service higher than 30Mbps to your building.

not quite correct; TIME is installing new fibre to each condo unit, at their cost; and now TM also wants to do the same for my condo since they heard TIME is coming in

We both changed to advance 30mbps but he changed a day later cause I told him.. He said he negotiated some free calls or something which I think it's the STD20(actually what is it)?
And he also got one month free premium channels or something. His unifitv pack I think he chose the one with sports channel and I chose ruby pack.

Well, it depends on the 'value of the property'. Some property, the telco will desperately insist to install due to its 'value'. While some other will need to fork out their own $.

My sister will be the happiest if that ever happens since she is paying now.

Time already installed new fibre for each condo block in my parent place, but TM didn't do anything yet.

It actually Voice STD20 (600 minutes talk time), most of the time refer as STD20.
Once exceed 600 minutes:
- Call to TM fixed line: FREE
- Call to Mobile & other fixed line: 10 cents/min

Isn't sport package already gone?
Unifi TV currently have Ultimate, Ruby plus, Aneka plus and Varnam plus.

Voice STD 20 Inclusive of 600 minutes call
Beyond rates:
FREE calls to TM Fixed lines
Calls to all mobile and other fixed lines at 10sen/minute

So u are paying rm139 for 30Mbps+Ruby and your uncle is paying rm149 for 30Mbps+Ultimate+STD20?

I thought all awhile tm to tm fixed line is free? Not sure about the sport package but he show me fox channel yesterday.

His dashboard showed the same package name as mine tho. Or does he need to pay for the std20? Cause he told me he negotiated the voice call std20(saw that on his dashboard)

Finally settle my jumbo pack early termination issue.

Plan to upgrade my usb wifi adapter, should i get 600mbps or 1200mbps wifi adapter? My router is Acher C1200.

Full speed with WiFi or LAN cable?
By theory for WiFi you need 5GHz channel in order to get full 100M speed, as for LAN cable, it can hit 100M full speed easily

Highly unlikely with just N, 2.4GHz. It could do that, if your area is not congested or if there are no interference from other wireless devices. Otherwise, it would be advisable to get a dual-band router that can support AC, 5GHz.

Doesn’t matter, as long as it supports 5GHz. The 600 or 1200Mbps is just theoretical maximum thoroughput numbers that don’t really mean anything,p. You should be thinking of changing your router as the C1200 has some issues.

I am waiting for the day when TM UniFi offer internet only. No free phone calls, no set top box, no UniFi TV, no jumbo pack, no free Ruby, no Aneka, No Varnam.

I think they are alot of people like me who just want that.

Yes, I clicked the down arrow and saw his one got extra std20 and one month free premium channels which I didn't get even though it's the same package. But nvm la I think the std20 not that important since I dont use the phone anyway.

Free premium channels only for one month. And his UnifiTV is Ruby too? So actually rm10 difference btw both of you.

Don't think it's Ruby.. Forgot what I saw. I think his one should be 139 also.. How come u say 149?
