Any idea on how they're going to handle the bunch of 2 year contract users on RM139 for 30mbps after the contract ends? Hm..
*
I am guessing - 2019 pricing (after mass upgrade for existing users)
Unifi 30Mbps B40 without HyppTV: RM99
Unifi 30Mbps Turbo: RM129
Unifi 100Mbps Turbo: RM179 / 199

So your question may be not relevant when your contract ends. You can re-contract.

Two groups that will not enjoy this exercise:

Unifi area with VDSL only
Streamyx area with no Unifi coverage.
*
"Magic Box" >10Mbps

Beginning 15 August 2018, existing unifi home broadband customers will be upgraded to new plans with a maximum speed of 800 Mbps, at the same price.

Not sure how true is this ...

Check eligibility status after 15/7/2018

Huh that means UNIFI will offer speed more than 100Mbps now ?
*
FTTH can go beyond 1000Mbps (1Gbps). It is just a matter of time for TM to offer something beyond 100Mbps.
but >100Mbps is meaningless to most of Internet users.

Prefer lower price than more speed.

Where is MyRepublic now?
Are they ever coming to Malaysia?
*
Maybe for Sarawak only.
MyRepublic will use SOFIA fibre network (not TM's Unifi) and access from Brunei. MOU already signed a few months ago.

Why does my bill still doesn’t zero rate the GST? Anybody have same problem like me?
*
May consumption - 6% GST.
Early June consumption - If 6% GST charged, this portion will be reversed soon.
regardless of statement date.

Currently using 139@30mbps.

I wish TM would offer existing users either to:
a. Stay @30mbps, pay rm100
b. Double speed, same price

I would choose A.
*
Then downgrade to Unifi Lite RM129 by year end first.

Thanks all for the quick reply. So I am paying RM20 more for the additional 5mbps upload speed, unifi TV and free TM fixed line calls. Ah now it sounds more reasonable.

I don't watch unifi TV and hardly make any calls from the dect phone, but the additional 5mbps upload is important.

Ok didn't know we can negotiate with TM for a deal, will try that route.
*
Check your upgrade eligibility status after 15/7/2018.
Unifi VIP and Unifi Lite should be upgraded to Unifi Turbo >20Mbps.

Starting upgrading one by one. Doesn't mean you get free upgrade immediately on 15/8. You are lucky if it can be completed by year end.

Does anybody check the invoice for this month? They discount the GST for us, I think the discount is for few days of June.

*
Then re-contract to Unifi Lite 10 to get 100Mbps at RM129, before 31/12/18.

guys, my bill is now RM167.41 ( used tm rewards points minus 1,500 points ,discount RM15 ), bill is actually RM189 monthly but why RM167.41 ? RM189-15 should be RM174...

Check bill details write RM189 in total, but the bill is actually RM167.41

Refund of 6% GST already charged in May statement but consumed in June (the first few days till your June statement).

If i'm not mistaken TM already had a tnc that roughly states they can change tnc without user's consent. Now suddenly they want consent? Hah puh-lease. Logical reason would be to lessen the blow on their network's bandwidth because you have to opt-in instead of everyone just gets a free upgrade. If someone forgot or didn't know about it then lucky TM can skip a few accounts, save a few bandwidth and more profit too boot.

When doing shady things that profit them they can change it without the customer's permission. If it doesn't then they expect customer to jump hoops, sign here, do this i.e. make it annoying enough that only a small group of people would do it.
*
Who knows TM may let you re-select / confirm the package, eg Pro 100 or Advance 30/50 to Turbo 100! Lite 10 is not upgraded to Pro 100 but Turbo 100!
Also some people may refuse to upgrade, especially those from Streamyx to Unifi because of phone number or re-wiring or pricing.
Anyway, from 2019, we can buy Unifi Basic 30, Turbo 100, 300, 500, 800 only, and Lite/Adv/Pro will become obsolete.

old customer gets upgraded 1st

100Mbps >RM149 shall be upgraded first.
Otherwise they will complain if someone get 100Mbps at RM129.
