Any idea on how they're going to handle the bunch of 2 year contract users on RM139 for 30mbps after the contract ends? Hm..

Two groups that will not enjoy this exercise:

Unifi area with VDSL only
Streamyx area with no Unifi coverage.

Beginning 15 August 2018, existing unifi home broadband customers will be upgraded to new plans with a maximum speed of 800 Mbps, at the same price.

Not sure how true is this ...

Why does my bill still doesn’t zero rate the GST? Anybody have same problem like me?

Currently using 139@30mbps.

I wish TM would offer existing users either to:
a. Stay @30mbps, pay rm100
b. Double speed, same price

I would choose A.

Thanks all for the quick reply. So I am paying RM20 more for the additional 5mbps upload speed, unifi TV and free TM fixed line calls. Ah now it sounds more reasonable.

I don't watch unifi TV and hardly make any calls from the dect phone, but the additional 5mbps upload is important.

Ok didn't know we can negotiate with TM for a deal, will try that route.

Does anybody check the invoice for this month? They discount the GST for us, I think the discount is for few days of June.

New 30 Mbps less than RM100
New 100 Mbps/300Mbps/500Mbps/800Mbps for existing Lite/Advance/Advance Plus/Pro customers.

All FTTH customers will get free speed upgrade.

non FTTH area will depends on infra readiness.

but i do hope they can reduce the price for existing owner. now using 50Mbps. i hope they can reduce price instead increasing the speed. i'm happy with 100 to 120 for 50Mbps. LOL

guys, my bill is now RM167.41 ( used tm rewards points minus 1,500 points ,discount RM15 ), bill is actually RM189 monthly but why RM167.41 ? RM189-15 should be RM174...

Check bill details write RM189 in total, but the bill is actually RM167.41

If i'm not mistaken TM already had a tnc that roughly states they can change tnc without user's consent. Now suddenly they want consent? Hah puh-lease. Logical reason would be to lessen the blow on their network's bandwidth because you have to opt-in instead of everyone just gets a free upgrade. If someone forgot or didn't know about it then lucky TM can skip a few accounts, save a few bandwidth and more profit too boot.

When doing shady things that profit them they can change it without the customer's permission. If it doesn't then they expect customer to jump hoops, sign here, do this i.e. make it annoying enough that only a small group of people would do it.
