Exactly, Internet and WiFi connection aren't magic. It's science and on a nationwide scale? It will take time and obviously being Malaysia.. It'll take even longer.. More-so if some corners have been cut during fiber laying cabling, either due to terrain limitations or cost cutting or even pure songlap.. Now, finding out that in some places, it isn't fully fiber network.. Those will have to be rectified too. We flip table today.. Nothing will be done. TM already gave a deadline.. which is max June 2019. So if they are half-smart, any queries about this upgrade will be met with an SOP answer that involves "we are working on it, do check back and or we'll alert you once done"... If by next year July or August (A year away), still nothing yet..Then sure, PM me and I'll also help you go flip table at TM HQ...  laugh.gif

There's always our communications minister Gobind that should hopefully strongarm TM into upgrading their infrastructure should things actually go awry icon_idea.gif

He's certainly does a much better job than the former communications minister who thinks that we don't need faster speeds icon_idea.gif

Na. % of users above 4mbps, above 10mbps and median speed (not ookla averages) are more important

No point having 800mbps turbos screwing the stats over while ppl still using 4mbps slowmyx..

I think the more important part is TM really needs to revamp their DSL infrastructure - ADSL is way too outdated right now icon_idea.gif

VDSL2 or even G.fast would be a decent stopgap for those who cannot get FTTH. Unfortunately for some reason their VDSL SUBB expansion project has been slowing down ever since after sweat.gif

Many ppl esp those 8mbps users under adsl can get vdsl 10mbps++ without issue. Tm just need to spend abit to upgrade the dslams, which is Very Cheap. But why collect rm129 for 10mbps when they can collect rm140-160 for 8mbps?
Their attitude sucks. Money face

That's actually called something known as tier-flattening or digital redlining (apparently evident in some countries like the US and some parts of Western Europe) hmm.gif

...or it could be just a bad case of mismanagement or stuck in bureaucratic limbo sweat.gif

Even worst still they are treating Streamyx users like third world citizens where they are assigned with some kind of private IP address rclxub.gif

WiFi (2.4/5) or Ethernet? For that speed you might need to use a gigabit Ethernet cable (provided that the BTU and the router supports Gigabit Ethernet) icon_idea.gif
