QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 22 2018, 11:04 PM) The CS told me it's not possible and cannot be done, it must come in my package. Even if it's removed will not reduce my monthly fees. At least you'll get something like 800Mbps for RM189 - some people pay much more for 50Mbps VDSL This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Jul 22 2018, 11:50 PM |

I just received a missed call from tm (0379331600) regarding something
Could it be something regarding the turbo upgrade? This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Jul 24 2018, 03:21 PM |

I managed to answer the call from TM, and as like what JohnLai said, it's just a promotion to lure me to get UniFi mobile. I tagged along with the marketer during the call, but I eventually declined the call because my current plan works just fine

QUOTE(Anonymous34 @ Aug 7 2018, 02:10 PM) I've been subscribed since May of 2012, currently on 30 Advance, any idea if they would upgrade me or they would use the DIR-615 as benchmark and not upgrade me? Technically DIR-615 can support 300 what Router or ONU (modem)? I'm pretty sure he meant modem as the router is not responsible for connecting to the UniFi infrastructure, but the ONU is You can buy a new router yourself (which is always a better idea), but the ONU is not user replaceable, and must be replaced by TM themselves This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Aug 7 2018, 05:01 PM |

QUOTE(lamusiqa @ Aug 7 2018, 05:01 PM) I subscribed to the 100 mbps Pro plan in 2016 and received a boxy light grey ONU and router that looks almost the same as the ONU. Anybody knows if they have to replace my ONU for the turbo upgrade? I've already upgraded to ASUS AC68U as my primary router. Make and model of the ONU? I think soonwai should know this Also, my contract is over already. I wonder if it would affect my upgrade process.. |

QUOTE(Xefron @ Aug 11 2018, 06:26 PM) Remember all speed profile come with 10% extra to offset the overhead. So something like Australia's NBN Btw ... https://www.bharian.com.my/bisnes/korporat/...sahkan#cxrecs_s NBN inkambing... This is getting pretty interesting nonetheless |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Aug 12 2018, 01:58 PM) OMG... Some of you guys need to take a chill pill.. Relax a bit.. Some of us didn't get anything the past 2 free speed upgrades.. For this latest one, many more will still be passed over. Again!! So I advise, relax and if in 6 months you aren't upgraded for free, in line with the announcement.. Then find out why with TM, check your neighbors and react accordingly.. All these foaming at the mouth can't change anything just yet.. Same here - I think people here are just overreacting Anyway, let's just treat news from TM insiders with a grain of salt for now This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Aug 12 2018, 03:01 PM |

QUOTE(rizvanrp @ Aug 12 2018, 03:22 PM) Depends on the exchange but for example in TTDI, IIRC it was between 700-1000+ customers/OLT. Wasn't that big of an issue back in the 5/10/20Mbps days as 90% of users were on the 5Mbps package That's interesting - do you happen to work in the telecommunications industry? Because it appears you are quite knowledgeable about this I do believe overall network capacity issues are a major issue with this upgrade as the actual upgrade procedure only requires reconfiguration of the customer VLAN profiles in the OLTs as well as modification of the RADIUS profiles for the PPPoE speed limits. To give you an idea of how quickly this can be done, everytime you ask for a 'port reset' when on the phone with their support staff, your ONU VLAN profile is reset to the intended value along with a reboot command for your ONU. Everything is automated via TL1 commands to the respective EMS. |
