This plan for the first 30 days is good. Can achieved the speed as you mentioned above. After 30 days, the speed will throttled down by half and when come to peak hours (between 2000-2359 hours), the speed can further down to 3 ~ 10 mbps. Seriously, you need to consider properly as the contract is bind for 2 years.
The answer as per replied above.

Thanks for the advice.

I did used Digi Infinite 150 1 year + ago, but the speed is damn disappointing. No choice but to cancel the plan, at least it does not bond with any contract.

I did speedtest on Celcom network by using my XOX (which is riding on Celcom network) sim card prior started the trial, the speed test is also decent, at least can get ± 40Mbps.

I do notice slower speed during peak hours, but still be able to get 30Mbps on Celcom Wireless.

Nevertheless, I still have 3 weeks to test and monitor the network.

Today I was called by their (Celcom) agent about the Celcom Broadband Plan. I am using Streamyx 8Mbps for n years and wanted to shift to Celcom. But I am worry that it's another P1 + YES. First 30 days sure fast then after 30 days throttle speed until like turtle.

Anyone used more then 2 months please share more about your experience.

Thank you.

U can scroll through the earlier post, there are some comments regarding the speed after using more than 2 months.

Just got the modem back home. Good speed for now. Not sure if can get constant speed with it or not after 30 days. But so far so good.

Edit,

No need wait 30 days. The 3rd day speed already getting slower. Maybe too many new subscriber as their (Celcom) agent are ripping off TM by calling all Streamyx customer at my area to switch. There are no UniFI coverage here.

If I not mistaken is 3 accounts per user. Anyway, instead of apply and terminate, why not just get yourself a brand new 65d Huawei B618 from TM? Isn't that this price can get you an unlock version of router that support for different services provider?

After trying out this plan for 2 weeks, my overall experience is quite pleasant.

~ Online gaming speed is decent, no lag or DC.

~ Overall download speed is acceptable, +/- 5 MB/s

~ No buffering when watching YouTube (1080p) or Netflix during peak hours.

Anyways, I do encounter slowest speed (not even 5 mbps) during 9pm, last Saturday
But, surprisingly, that slowest speed does not causes buffering even watching 1080p YouTube videos.

Initially, Celcom agent offers me the RM 100/50 GB per month.
Then I say: Tunjuk ikhlas la Sis, bagi I cuba package Home Wireless Platinum (150GB).

So I gotten myself 30 days trial for 150 GB. rclxms.gif

The downside, 2 years contract. I do hesitate to sign up this plan due to the long contract period.

Anyways, I am getting bored of TM BS after using Shitmyx 8 mbps for 10 years for RM 169/month.

150 GB is just nice for me.

As a gamer, i do need huge data quota for downloading games and for future updates.
So far, I still have roughly 100 GB data quota to go after downloading a game.

As I know, the penalty for early cancellation of contract is based on pro rate as well.
Which means the soonest you cancel the plan, the penalty is more expensive, Max RM 499

Fiber broadband is still better than data broadband.

If I got other options, surely I would take the fiber broadband. doh.gif

I don't believe in the internet speed as mentioned by ISP.
I just want a smooth, uncongested network. whistling.gif

Yes, Fibre BB is still main choice in terms of stability compared to Data BB but TM UniFi BB is too many problem, eg, main cable kena cabut etc., making user busy to contact their customer service / support from time to time.

Let's compared TM UniFi BB with Fibre BB in Thailand, Taiwan and Singapore, their problems far less than TM. From this point, some users made alternative choice to more expensive ISP, eg, ConnectMe (Maxis) Satellite BB, etc.

If TM can reduce these common and basic technical problems, I believe, many user with choose UniFi. But TM attitude, you know, I know lah.

Well, for over a decade using Shitmyx, I am luckily enough to encounter less problems.

I am just disappointed with TM's attitude treating their old customer and empty promises.

My Shitmyx 8 mbps plan is damn expensive, 160/month
When ask the TM CS, she said I might be able to get cheaper monthly fees if I cancel my current subscription and resubscribe again, with a new 2 years contract.
Haha, very funny. shakehead.gif

Anyways, this Celcom plan also comes with 2 years contract.
I am putting this plan under consideration. hmm.gif
