When I put the SIM into a different router, no Internet. When the SIM is inserted to Celcom B618, Internet is available. Location is not the register address.
I think the SIM is lock to the B618.

what i've tested so far was , download can full throttle, but video walla / download using youtube capped at 3mbps<.

the modem also not geo locked as they didnt request for exact location to be registered or no coordinate features in modem it self. (as vsat modem they had coordinate locked function).

sim also can be use in other modem as i used in my e5377s mifi, however i think the simcard is using other infrastructure, as they cant move around, if static okay, but if i bring the mifi around. it will become no sevice and take time to locked to the internet.

Modem is unlocked. Checked with multiple sim cards already (Unifi & UMobile). Also checked through Huawei HiLink app where it states the device is unlocked even when other sim cards are in it. Currently, I'm using the free Unifi sim card inside the modem. rclxms.gif

Previously 20GB. My whole family take each member 5 sim cards. Totalling 20 sim cards.

20GB * 20 sim cards = 400GB FREE

Just take, use and once finish, throw. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

you can do the speedtest on your celcom network, and then if the speed is above 10mbps, you can go to CELCOM TTDI only to pick up the modem and sim card. thats all.

I am using Celcom Home Wireless Broadband. One thing that I found quite unusual is, somehow the service is locked to just one place. I am sure that I didn't supply my home address to Celcom. But the modem only works at my home. I've run some test, it works in around 2-3km radius.

Now, I know that the FAQ states that the customer will not be able to bring this modem around as it’s locked to the registered address. What I don't understand is how the do that. As for now, I think the service is locked to a specific number of cells on a specific communication tower.

Anyone else try to move the modem around?

So the SIM card could be used in other modem, at another location, but it must be static at one place?
