Dang! They just cancelled Netflix from Video Walla without officially informing the users! I just scolded them for not informing us! We pay for a subscription to Netflix and if they just change like that, I ask them will they refund the subscription to us? This is a joke!

So did they refund to you?

Of course not. Below is our conversation:

Celcom: Sorry, there is no rebate can be given. You may refer to the TAC for more info. https://www.celcom.com.my/legal/terms-and-c...m-home-wireless
Me: Of course you won’t. And yeah you can change your TAC at anytime. Thanks for your reply anyway. If you can help I don’t want to waste time reading the TAC, please tell me how much is the penalty for cancelling this wireless plan now?
Celcom: You will be charged penalty of RM499.00 inclusive GST with reducing balance, which will be reflected in your final bill.
Me: Understood. Thanks

I love their professionalism!

Just subscribe celcom home wifi gold plus.. might upgrade to home wifi platinum soon since i got 15 comp in office sharing this celcom broadband. ( no UNIFI , no port for 8mbps streamyx, i need upload speed)

my question is

1)Do you turn off your modem if you're not using?(after office hour/away from home)

2) If I never turn off the modem, will i lost my data?( my previos YTL broadband experience data loss even i didnt use them but it happen in 2012)

3) Any office user here using celcom broadband? how much quota do you use every month?

4) How to use my old Asus DSL-N12HP modem/router as AP for this Huawei router?
(After i disable my DHCP, I couldn't log in into my old Asus router 192.168.1.1, the Asus still broadcast the wifi signal but i couldn't log into the Asus router domain. Please help~~) my huawei domain is using the default IP 192.168.8.1

5) How do you monitor video/music Walla usage from customer service page? or how do you know they are using walla data quota for youtube and other walla partner

6) today is my first day, and i use up to 6gb from 11am to 6pm is that normal?? hmm... I already set all my desktop to metered connection.
*
1) Never
2) Nope
3) icloud backup for me uses data the most. 1 day could go up to 20gb. I almost finish 150GB every month
4) Asus default should be 192.168.50.1
5) Message them on FB. Compare your quota from Celcom’s website & Modem’s usage page to find whether you are using Video Walla quota or not
6) 15 computers? Normal

Normal if they taken out from Video Walla for Netflix. Celcom got their right to do anything to their T&C. I subscribed to Celcom Platinum Package, so far not able to finished up the data given by them despite watching 4K or 8K videos. Of course not under Netflix or iFlix. Astro is the way to watch drama or movies.

I am now trying out DiGi infinite 150 at my place for a few days. If everything goes well, bye Celcom Wireless Platinum.

I just subscribed platinum 150 plan today due to my new condo do not have Unifi service yet.. the speed and modem is really good.. the onnly concern will be 150gb only. However it is the most highest quota in broadband services. No complaints for it as RM 1 for each GB. Also additional 1tb video wall which may use for YouTube and dailymotion..

Congratulations! Video Walla used to include Netflix too, until they decided to remove it since last week. And it was removed without informing existing users. When asked why were users not informed, CS just give you a link to their TAC. I love their professionalism. First class!

Yep. Celcom’s 22d. I was using Digi Inifinite 150 on my E5168 before subscribing to Celcom. Digi was too congested in my area then. Time to move on I guess

Better upgraded to TM Unifi Turbo next month. Not worth to spend $$ to wireless broadband.

If only my place has Unifi coverage

I was just back from canceling the wireless plan from Celcom Blue Cube. I noticed that even the CS who attended to me did not know Netflix is not part of Video walla now. Celcom really need to improve!

I thought Digi 150 infinite speed is bad
*
Previously at my place, yes. I use Digi i150 in my other house, so I just swap them and noticed the speeds are acceptable (>10Mbps) even during peak hours. With ExpressVPN enabled will get about 70-80% speed.

QUOTE(Jeffreynsx @ Jul 22 2018, 06:39 AM)
Have you purchase the Prepaid Digi sim card to test first before subscribe to Digi Infinite 150? Peak hours sometimes can drop till 1.XX mbps only.
Yes. But not sure why he paid RM300 (1 month in advance).
Yes. If peak hours will be slow but non peak hours will be extremely fast (subjected to the area coverage).

I was using two i150 packages previously before cancelling one and took up Celcom Wireless. So I just swap and test. Strange, it’s always 1 month in advance for me. Previously was RM316 including RM16 GST.
