Is anyone here using windows remote desktop login through maxis business fibre connection? I am facing intermittent login problems after switching over to maxis from redtone. For example in the morning i have 5 users that remotes in to a company server with no problems but then later in the afternoon non of them can log in anymore or it can be ok for an entire day but if the next morning, they can't remote in again. The only way to solve the problem currently is if i restart the modem.I am sure there is nothing wrong with the server because when i switch back directly over to redtone they can login remotely without any problems straight away.So the only variable here is the maxis fibre connection. I figured that if by restarting the maxis modem everytime,it solves the problem so is there any possibility that the public IP that i am using to remote login will sort of 'expire'? Meaning if i log in for a designated amount of time using the same ip, then it will not allow me to login anymore after it 'expires'? Or is there any settings in the modem that has this feature?i am using the aminia MA131 modem. I tried contacting maxis support them but they are not much of a help. They said there is no settings that need to be done to allow remote access.

Your problem is due to the router. If you sign up for home user and instead use it for business, then you are asking for trouble because the router is a cheapskate given to you. If you read this forum with ppl complaining, then you know hat I'm saying. Go buy a new high end router, configure yourself. Another option, forfeit the contract and go for unifi.
